Mosque Supplication

The Prophet, peace be upon him, used to supplicate saying:

O my Lord, help me and do not help against me, And support me and do not support against me, And plot for me and do not plot against me, And guide me and make guidance easy for me, And support me against those who oppose me.

O my Lord, make me grateful to You, remembering You, Fearful of You, obedient to You, humble to You, Turning to You, frequently returning to You.

O my Lord, accept my repentance, and wash away my sins, And answer my supplication, and strengthen my argument, And straighten my tongue, and guide my heart, And remove the malice from my chest.

A sound hadith narrated by the compilers of the Sunan And authenticated by At-Tirmidhi, Ahmad Shakir, Al-Albani, and Al-Wadi'i

Explanation of terms:

• Humble and obedient.
• Wash away my sins: Erase my sin.
• Frequently returning: One who frequently turns to Allah in his affairs and repents.
• Strengthen my argument: Against your enemies in this world and when questioned in the grave.
• Frequently returning: The one who turns to Allah in his affairs and repents.
• Malice: Hatred in the heart.
