Who is the biggest loser from the uncontrolled media mobilization in the fighting in Sham? All praise is due to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, 1. What I will say here is not related to condemning a fighting faction in Sham or supporting it. And at the same time, it does not mean equating the parties to the conflict. Simply, this is not my subject here. Rather, I will mention something that the reasonable people should all agree upon, regardless of their positions, because it is related to the supreme interest: the image of Islam that everyone raises the banner of serving and supporting. Let him who has a heart or listens and is present consider it. 2. Each of the parties to the conflict in Sham tries to prove the deviation of the other party, and their supporters participate in this. This is not the place to deny it, as it is a branch of a root, so it is not evaluated separately, and it is not blameworthy in all its cases, but according to its correctness or error and the preponderance of the legal benefit or harm from its disclosure. 3. However, the dangerous thing in the matter is that this media mobilization is often devoid of legal controls, as images and clips are circulated that are extreme in deterrence, indicating a lack of human mercy, let alone Islamic! 4. The goal of each party in publishing these clips is to prove the deviation of the other party and to alienate people from it and justify fighting it, whether right or wrong (and this is not our subject). 5. Some justify for themselves the capture of these clips and images and their dissemination without verifying their attribution to their opponent because their opponent "even if he did not do this incident in particular, he does similar things!" 6. The very dangerous thing in the matter is that some incidents that should be "attributed to an unknown" or fingers of accusation are pointed at the international system, which is fishing in murky water through its infiltrated agents, have become fighting groups attributing them to each other. The result: the one accused of these incidents in the eyes of the people is: "the Sham jihadist"! And the witnesses to the condemnation are the "mujahideen" themselves! 7. The general Muslim nation, and then the world, do not understand that: the state did it, the Nusra did it, the Islamic Front did it, but: "the fighters in Syria are doing this to each other". 8. Nevertheless, some fighters and "their supporters" do not find in the uncontrolled media mobilization a deterrent from Islam, but they say: (The such-and-such group does not represent Islam and its behavior is not counted on Islam. We are clarifying their actions so that people know their reality and are deterred from them and confront them and purify the jihad of Sham from them). 9. However, the truth is that this uncontrolled media mobilization has not deterred people from a particular group completely, nor has it "purified the jihad of Sham from it," but it has deterred people from the Sham jihad as a whole, and it has deterred many from the principle of jihad itself! 10. By this, some fighters and "their supporters" become a cause of sedition for people from their religion, where they thought they were supporting the righteous faction! 11. Who falls into this mistake? More than one party in fact, and on different levels. And there is no doubt that some are safe from it. But this is not the place to specify, which will lead to disputes and blame, and deepen the mentioned problem, but it is a call to the reasonable: let us differ on everything, and let us err methodologically as we wish, but let us remember that debauchery in enmity and not considering the controls is a sedition for the people that puts us in His saying: (And do not take your oaths as a means of mutual deception, so that a foot may slip after it was firm, and you taste the evil for what you have obstructed from the way of Allah, and for you is a great punishment)! O Allah, protect us! And by Allah, the condition of the heedless Muslims who did not contribute to the jihad of Sham with good or evil is not better than our condition at that time! 12. Uncontrolled media warfare does not uproot one group over another, but it uproots the conviction of jihad from the hearts of the people! 13. The most dangerous thing in the matter is not that people lose conviction in the Sham jihad and see it as a deviation from the jihad that Allah has legislated, but that they lose conviction in jihad itself and think that the factors of its failure are present in it, so they hate something from the religion of Allah and doubt its validity. And then, the deception of Iblis will be based on the distorted image that we have presented! 14. You may say: And what have these people presented to the Sham jihad that we care about their opinion? And the answer: Even if they did not present anything and were sinful in that, is it permissible for us to deter them from the religion of Allah?! And if they did not participate in the Islamic project, do we want to turn them into enemies of it by our bad behavior? 15. In the Egyptian experience, the deep state left the "Islamists" to "stew" for a period of time, and monitored their "stewing," then brought out the "journalists" of the deep state to make fun of these "Islamists" and deter people from their project. And indeed, many people were seduced in their religion and turned into enemies of the "Islamists" - a worldly and otherworldly loss. 16. Our enemies monitor the clips and statements that some of us circulate, and collect them. And their mission will be much easier than their mission in Egypt. In Egypt, they monitored the contradictions, and here they monitor beheadings, torture, and cold-blooded mass executions! Which some of us are lenient in attributing to the group they see as misguided. 17. When media channels broadcast a documentary program about what "the jihadists did in Syria," and "some of them testify against each other," our "stewing" will not be funny as it was in Egypt, but disgusting and horrifying! 18. It is our right to say that the absence of independent arbitration and the presence of methodological and behavioral problems with any party creates a fertile environment for the occurrence of intrigues and crimes, which does not exempt the groups from their responsibility, but this at the same time does not allow leniency in attributing these crimes to them. 19. Let us remember that our enemy collects the dramatic clips that we publish, to make people lose conviction in jihad, in revolution, and in the possibility of liberation from the chains of his slavery. And let us remember that when the media insists on interviewing some Islamic figures to talk about the conflict between the fighting groups, it wants to document their "testimonies" to condemn "jihad and the mujahideen" in the eyes of the people, not a particular group. 20. The establishment of violations on some groups claiming jihad does not allow the attribution of everything of the same kind to them. For this - in addition to being forbidden by law - widens the gap with the good ones in them and their supporters, as they lose confidence in those who criticize their group, and they see them being lenient in attributing what they criminalize to them, so they are prevented from seeing the real half of the picture. 21. It is necessary to reiterate: my speech here is not about equating the parties to the conflict, but I have positions known to my followers that I will not mention here lest the intended point be lost, and it is not that every party is seeking good and perhaps he has erred. And it is not about belittling the importance of any crimes proven against those affiliated with jihad, but it is necessary to disavow them strongly and clearly and work to stop them. 22. Rather, our speech here is a reminder to the reasonable from every party: - to distinguish between what is proven to be practices of a certain group and what is not proven. - Not to use to attribute crimes to "jihad" in the eyes of the people, while the original attribution is to an unknown or to the international system. - Even if these crimes are proven against a party affiliated with jihad, it is necessary - before deciding to publish such pictures and clips - to take into account their effect on people's view, especially since many of them see them as an attack on jihad, not on a particular group. 23. Finally, let us not forget the words of Graham Fuller, who worked in American intelligence and foreign affairs for 27 years, when he said in his book (The Future of Political Islam): There is nothing that shows Islamists in a worse light than a failed experience in governance. They collect pieces of these bad images, so do not be one of those who gives them a piece! And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
