Ar-Rahman will make them beloved
Among the concepts that need correction is considering the multitude of enemies as evidence of the correctness of the methodology. This rule is not absolute. It is true that Warqa bin Nawfal said to our Prophet (peace be upon him): (No man has ever come with what you have brought without being harmed). It is also true that some people, those with sick hearts, hate the truth because it strips them of their privileges and exposes their falsehood. However, when Muslims also hate me, I must blame myself! It is dangerous at that point to consider this hatred a "healthy phenomenon" indicating that I am on the right path! It is dangerous to assume that they are repulsed by me because of my piety or the correctness of the methodology I carry, while some hate me for my harshness and stern face, others for my shortcomings in my work and then theorizing about people, others because of my inconsistency in behavior and falling into sins I belittle while exaggerating the mistakes of others, others because I clung to one side of Allah's religion and neglected the side of morals, others because I mixed my victory for myself with my victory for the religion, others because I did not care about my appearance and considered it asceticism out of ignorance of the Sunnah, others because of a misunderstanding that I could have explained but prevented me from pride. It is dangerous to overlook all these reasons and laugh at myself and convince myself that all these are bats who are annoyed by the light I carry! They only hate me because of my religion! The original state of the caller and the one with Islamic concern is to be loved and liked by people. Allah the Almighty says: (Verily, those who believe and do righteous deeds, Ar-Rahman will make them beloved). And in the hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: (When Allah loves a servant, He calls Gabriel: Verily Allah loves so-and-so, so love him. So Gabriel loves him, then Gabriel calls out to the people of the heavens: Verily Allah loves so-and-so, so love him. So the people of the heavens love him, then acceptance is placed for him on earth). And in the hadith that some scholars deemed good: (The believer is affectionate and brings affection, and there is no good in one who is not affectionate and does not bring affection, and the best of people are the most beneficial to people). So the caller is required not to flatter in it nor to appease people by hiding it or deviating from it. However, at the same time, he is required to be gentle with people in presenting his call and to abandon his own desires to make people know that he does not seek victory for himself but for the religion of Allah the Almighty. And then, if his enemies are the wicked of creation and the disbelievers, his brothers from the Muslims will love him. And on the contrary, he criticized the imam who prolonged the prayer: (Glory be to Allah, some of you are repulsive). It is true that our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: (Islam began as something strange and will return as it began). However, this strangeness is a temporary state that the Muslim does not endure, but rather strives to reform it. For our Prophet (peace be upon him) defined the strangers as: (Those who correct what people have corrupted after me of my Sunnah)...and did not say: Those who withdraw and dedicate their strangeness to people with their wrong behavior. Ahmed bin Hanbal lived in strangeness and enmity, but he did not die until the people loved him, and his funeral was attended by an estimated two million people! And Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Al-Qayyim lived in strangeness and enmity, but they are among the sweetest of people in memory and many sing of their love. But if the days pass and the people do not increase except in distance and coldness, know that the flaw is not only in them! The caller is not required to flatter at the expense of his religion nor to appease people by hiding the truth or deviating from it. However, at the same time, he is required to be gentle with people in presenting his call and to abandon his own desires to make people know that he does not seek victory for himself but for the religion of Allah the Almighty. And then, if his enemies are the wicked of creation and the disbelievers, his brothers from the Muslims will love him and gather around him and their tongues will whisper prayers for him...and it is no wonder, for he is among those promised that: (Ar-Rahman will make them beloved).
