Episode 33 - Be Like the Imprisoned!
The imprisoned person's mind is dominated by terms: (imprisonment) (release) (judgment) (judge) (accusation) (defense) (evidence) (innocence) (mitigation) (punishment) (duration).
So he thinks about these terms in his waking and sleeping, eating and drinking, prayers, and exercise.
And if he picks up a newspaper or asks about the news, he focuses on what relates to imprisonment and release and what serves his case and saves him from punishment.
He does not expect to search for car models or the prices of residential villas.. none of that concerns him!
So let us remember that in this world, we are imprisoned from our original homeland, which is Paradise, and that our sins are real accusations with clear evidence, so we deserve punishment. Our main defense is that we are united, for if our unity is questioned, do not ask about the duration of the punishment! And let us remember that innocence from these accusations comes through sincere repentance.. and the One who holds judgment is the True Judge: Allah, the Most High.
Therefore, we will strive to please the True Judge and act in ways that transfer us from the prison of this world to the vastness of the Hereafter. We will not be preoccupied with the trivialities of this world and its distractions, for they do not concern us. The case of salvation from Allah's punishment and attaining His reward and pleasure will dominate our minds, alive in our hearts, never neglecting it for a moment.
Ibn Al-Qayyim said: Stay alive in the gardens of Eden, for they But we are the captives of the enemy, do you see Your first dwellings and the camp within them We return to our homelands and are delivered
