Help them before you judge them
One of the scholars was asked: (What is the ruling on someone who abandons prayer?) He said: (The ruling is to take him with you to the mosque)! A beautiful response that illustrates an important principle: We must take people by the hand to goodness, and our effort should not be focused solely on judging them. However, we need balance here... You find someone saying: (Do not judge people), saying it to blur the differences between faith and disbelief, truth and falsehood. We say to him: You are wrong, as this ruling is based on other Islamic rulings, such as marriage, guardianship, judgment, inheritance, and even loving and hating for the sake of Allah, among others. On the other hand, there are some young people who prioritize judging certain words or situations as sin, disobedience, or disbelief, confronting their owners, making them resentful and provoked, defending their mistakes, and losing the opportunity to guide them to goodness and guidance. I say this, dear brothers and sisters, and I am pleased with what I have seen from the comments of many brothers and sisters, especially on the series about women and some scattered articles and words. They admit that they once objected to some of Allah's rulings, felt aversion, and were unwilling to accept them... then this objection and aversion disappeared, and faith in Allah, the Wise and Merciful Lord, took its place. One of them confesses that she used to support feminist thought, believing it achieves justice for women, and sometimes she would insult and mock those who disagreed with her. Then, after realizing the truth, she knew that true justice is in Islam and accepted it as her religion. These people... you will find among them those who used to say very dangerous things about their religion... containing objections to Allah's wisdom. If you confront them with that and put them in the category of objectors, deniers, and rejecters, they will resent it, defend their falsehood, and become more distant. Rather, we must understand them, for they may be objecting to something that is not from Islam and think it is from Islam. They may have a general submission to Allah's justice, wisdom, and mercy, but they could not understand this particular point, influenced by distorted mental images... and these are not equal to the deniers, rejecters, and mockers. We ourselves - those who defend Islam - may not understand the details of Islam well sometimes and defend what we think is right, while Islam is innocent of it! Make your concern focused on understanding these people, knowing their motivations, determining the exact point of disagreement with them, then explaining the truth to them with wisdom and good advice, driven by a desire for their good and care for them, and then see the results as Allah wills! Help them before you judge them... And peace be upon you.
