Important Victories of Muslims in Ramadan
It is quite strange to talk about Ramadan as if it were a month of laziness and inactivity! Below, we review with you the most important battles and conquests that took place in the month of Ramadan, and you will know after reviewing them why the devils among humans want to turn it into a month of soap operas and frivolous nights, for this month has tired the enemies of Islam a lot! 1. Battle of Badr (Ramadan of the second year of Hijrah): The Great Battle of Furqan, the first battle of Islam. 2. Conquest of Mecca (Ramadan of the eighth year of Hijrah). 3. Conquest of Cyprus (Ramadan 829 AH): Cyprus had been conquered during the time of Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), but it fell later and the Crusaders took it as a base from which to launch their campaigns against the Islamic world. So, the Mamluk Muslim Sultan Al-Ashraf Barsbay reconquered it. As for the Ramadan War of 1973 (1393 AH), the Egyptian and Syrian armies initially had the upper hand against the Zionist army, but they were not established as the armies of the Muslims were in previous centuries, and the outcome was what it was. Nineteen battles are the most important battles...It is a month of victories, people, not a month of laziness, nor of singing and revelry!
