Lessons from Islam (Sophie) the French
1. Glory be to Him who placed Islam in her heart to proclaim it at this particular time, making it a joy for Muslims and a crisis for the enemies of the religion.
As Yusuf (peace be upon him) said: (Verily, my Lord is Gracious to whom He wills). If Allah wills something, He makes its means easy in a subtle, hidden way that does not occur to the mind.
2. Muslims often wonder: Is it possible that those who have good in them, better than the polytheists, will enter Hell?
The story of Aunt Maryam (formerly Sophie) answers you: Those who truly have good in them, Allah will guide them.
Allah the Almighty says in Surah Al-Anfal: (Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear)... meaning, to hear in a beneficial way that drives them to faith. - The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to Hakim bin Hizam: (You embraced Islam for the good you had done before). The commentators said in one of its meanings: That Allah facilitated Islam for you with the good you had done in your days of ignorance.
3. Aunt Maryam has become a member of this Ummah, loving Muslims and being loved by them. She says: (I will pray and supplicate to Allah for my wealth, because I am a Muslim), and she refuses to speak ill of her captors, which angered French media and made them attack Sophie while she does not pay them any attention. - And Muslims around the world, in contrast, love Maryam and pray for her... (Verily, the believers are but brothers).
4. Many people do not know what was happening in Mali eight years ago, when France allied with thirteen other countries and attacked it with bombing, burning, and destruction, including burning its ancient library (Timbuktu Library) with its Islamic manuscripts dating back hundreds of years.
None of this is mentioned by the media now.
5. Do you remember 19 years ago, when Western countries were besieging Afghanistan and starving it, then sending associations bearing the name of relief associations to provide food for children and women, while at the same time making them doubt their religion, on the principle of bread in exchange for doubt and polytheism! When the ruling group discovered this, they detained these proselytizing doubters, and when the coalition's bombing of Afghanistan began, the detainees announced that they would not be able to conduct a fair trial for this group under these circumstances, so they released them and took them to a safe border area.
I remember exactly how the news spread in American media: (Aid Workers Saved), meaning: Relief workers were saved!! Without any details, nor any praise nor justice for the detainees.
And from that time, I kept a picture of the news!
