Reviving Jahiliyyah = Erasing Islam from the hearts
Yet you see among those who present themselves to the youth as rational scholars, those who praise the revival of Jahiliyyah. As if the Prophet ﷺ speaks about people like them, saying: (Verily, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of Jahiliyyah and its boasting about ancestors: a believing, righteous person, or a wicked, doomed one. You are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust. Let some men boast about people who are nothing but charcoal from the fire of Hell, or let them be lighter in the sight of Allah than the beetles that push filth with their noses).
May Allah remove any pride in polytheistic ancestors, and the division is binary: a believer we are proud of or a wicked one who does not honor us. And whoever boasts about polytheistic ancestors is lighter than the beetles that push their filth with their noses.
What about those who not only do not boast about dead polytheists, but also revive pagan rituals?!
Our Prophet ﷺ said: (Verily, every matter of Jahiliyyah is placed under my feet).
Thus, the matter of Jahiliyyah in all its forms is underfoot.
Islam brings a complete break with Jahiliyyah, and yet it does not deny the past. Rather, we believers have deep roots in history, a continuous procession from Adam, peace be upon him, to the prophets and their believing followers in every era and Egypt... a connected procession that we belong to and take pride in. After Allah mentioned the stories of the prophets in Surah (Al-Mu'minun), He said: (And indeed, this ummah of yours is one ummah, and I am your Lord, so fear Me)... this is our noble ummah that we belong to.
As for the Pharaohs who worshipped the sun and various gods, and their people worshipped them as the light of the sun, they perished without being mourned by Allah or the believers. So Allah said about them: (Neither the heaven wept for them nor the earth, and they were not given respite).
On the Day of Resurrection, Pharaoh will be at the head of the procession that Allah said about: (He will lead his people on the Day of Resurrection and will cast them into the Fire. How evil is the casting place (98) And they were followed in this with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection, how evil is the rejected provision (99)). So whoever wants to join this procession, let him join. As for us, we side with the procession of the prophets, peace be upon them.
(Say, 'Each will be according to his manner, and your Lord is most knowing of who is best guided in the way').
