Episode 11
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Dear brothers, today we are discussing the ninth method of falsehood when it fails to confront the truth with evidence. It is the falsehood's gratitude to the people of truth for what they have done for them. When Musa (peace be upon him) came to Pharaoh inviting him to worship Allah and stop oppressing the Children of Israel, how did Pharaoh respond to him: ((Did we not raise you among us as a child and did you not spend years of your life with us?)) Did I not raise you in my palace, O Musa? Did you not grow up among us? What does this have to do with the call to worship Allah? But it is an escape from confronting the truth. Musa (peace be upon him) replied: ((And this is a favor you bestow upon me that I should serve the Children of Israel (22)) (Al-Shu'ara'). Meaning: What brought me to your palace, O Pharaoh, is that you enslaved my people, the Children of Israel, and killed their male offspring, which forced my mother to cast me into the river fearing that your oppression would befall me as it did to them. Where is the favor in that?! Then what is the value of your kindness to me and my upbringing compared to what you have done to the Children of Israel, making them slaves and servants to carry out your work and the hardships of your livestock? Is your kindness to one of them worth what you have done to all of them?
In our time, brothers, unfortunately, we find those who argue on behalf of the oppressors of Muslims. If you speak about the suffering of Muslims from the oppression of global powers that have plundered resources, occupied lands, displaced, killed, imprisoned, and tortured, someone will say: (How can you criticize these countries while you use the technology they created? How can you warn Muslims about the schemes of their enemies through the internet that these people you call enemies invented?)...Glory be to Allah! And this is a favor you bestow upon me?
There are Muslim countries that have been oppressed by Western countries, yet you see Muslims from these countries living in the countries that occupied and destroyed them, stole their resources. Does this prevent Muslims in these countries from calling to the religion of Allah Almighty on the pretext that these countries "have favored them" by allowing them to migrate and work there after ruining their lives in their homeland? A twisted logic like Pharaoh's when he said: Did we not raise you among us as a child and did you not spend years of your life with us?
Indeed, brothers, even if we acknowledge that a disbeliever has done you a favor, the best way to repay him and settle his kindness is to invite him to the religion of Allah Almighty to save him from the Fire, and your guidance to him in return for his favor will be Paradise by the permission of Allah. Our living in non-Muslim countries or benefiting from their technologies does not prevent us from warning them about what a group does that ultimately cares only for its interests, and does not hesitate to use anyone, even the people of their own country and religion, to achieve their ambitions, even at their expense. In conclusion, the falsehood may confront the people of Islam with gratitude for what they have done for them. Often, there is no favor in that, and even if there is, the best way to repay the kindness is to call to the religion of Allah Almighty. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
