On the Dilemma of Harassment and Provocation

First: That the (correct) hijab is one of the reasons for protecting women from harassment, this is a Quranic fact in His saying: (O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close around them. That is better, so that they may be known and not harassed. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful).

Their adherence to this legal dress is closer to them being recognized as chaste, free, believing women, so that no hypocrite, no sick-hearted, nor weak in faith will harm them.

This verse is clear in the place of dispute, and if Allah's river comes, the river of Maqil is nullified... the Muslim does not wait thereafter for a Western or Eastern study that includes what it includes of desires and distortions of science and bad design and errors.

Second: We as Muslims, our greatest motive in life: (And it is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they have any choice in their affair).. The centrality in our lives is for obedience to Allah.

And we must beware of making centrality for man and his desires while we do not realize! So we see that if we want to call people to adhere to a legal ruling, we entice them to it from the perspective that it achieves a worldly benefit for them or preserves their human rights, then we strive to search for studies and statistics indicating that.

As if the phrase (Allah commanded this) is not enough!

The Muslim responds in obedience to Allah first, and he believes that this obedience includes the good of this world and the hereafter.

He does not wait for statistics nor does he condition his obedience on proving the achievement of benefits!

The believing woman rises above using the blessing of female beauty in disobeying Allah, and the believing man is ashamed that Allah sees him extending his eye or tongue or hand to what is forbidden.

The believing man and woman know that Allah has legislated for them what makes their relationship based on cooperation in righteousness and piety and guardianship in faith (And the believing men and believing women are protectors of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong)..And they fear that a state of unrestrained lust may spread in society, which does not increase them except in hardship and does not increase their nation except in humiliation, and makes each of them a torment to the other, preoccupying and being preoccupied with it from fulfilling what they were created for, and they know that the devil deceived them the first time, causing them to (remove their clothing to show them their evil).

Third: The lustful outburst occurring in societies is not a condition that the provocative woman pays the price directly, but perhaps the one who covers herself may fall victim to it.

The ship is one and the hole drowns everyone.

Fourth: My sister who provokes (and we mean her, for provocation itself is a sin that does not remove the brotherhood of faith).. Beware that the devil may lure you to choose under the (banner of provocation) so that you defend it as (personal freedom) and justify it as (having no relation to harassment).

Little by little, you will settle under this banner, and it will become part of your identity, and it will drive you to legitimize it and defend it, after you had acknowledged to Allah that it is a sin.

You will find yourself at that moment among a group of corruptors who do not hope for Allah's dignity nor honor His sanctity!

You have accepted Allah as Lord, so look at your disobedience as disobedience, hate it, separate it from your being, and ask Allah to help you overcome it... perhaps He will forgive you and guide you to repentance: (And others have confessed their sins and mixed a righteous deed with another evil. Perhaps Allah will forgive them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful (102)).
