This is the second Ramadan without evening prayers in the mosque, no Taraweeh, no Friday prayers...

The sight of Taraweeh prayers used to give a sense of great goodness among the people of Jordan, love for Allah, and eagerness to attend His houses.

This disruption, along with the repeated Friday prayer closures, distances the emerging generations from their religion and Islamic identity. Especially since everything is pushing them to abandon their religion, and only a few rituals remain.

Mosques are the houses of Allah: (In houses which Allah has permitted to be raised and His name to be mentioned therein).

Allah the Almighty is the One who permitted... So if the subject of closing His houses is raised, it can only be through genuine Islamic jurisprudence, free from all pressure, whose slogan is seeking Allah's will and submitting to Him. And throughout history, Islamic jurisprudence has never led to the closure of mosques!

Why are the numerous studies being ignored, and why are experts confirming that these measures are ineffective?! Why are they not listened to, and decisions are made without clear bases or studies?!

- People of the mosques are among the most committed to health procedures, and their crowding is less than the crowding in malls and markets!

Do they want to reduce infections and deaths from the disease? Then stop the hands from public money, so that the money returns to benefit people, and hospitals are equipped with what they need instead of reaching the stage of "no oxygen"!!

- Then stop the hands from public money, so that the tragedy of hospital workers not being allowed to take leave does not repeat, while they are forced to work despite being infected, and their supervisor says, "I have no alternatives"! Thus, patients with weak immunity contract the disease from hospitals!

- Let the increasing evils stop if we believe in the saying of our Prophet (peace be upon him): (When lewdness becomes widespread among a people, plague and diseases that did not afflict their predecessors will spread among them).

- Why are "the houses of Allah" the weakest link that is being targeted?!

- Mosques should be opened wide, and if necessary, with health procedures, open prayer areas should also be set up and people should be called to them to supplicate to Allah to lift this plague from us... For Allah has power over these diseases, and we return to Him: (And We send the signs only as a warning)... (So We seized them with punishment and adversity, perhaps they would humble themselves).

- Not to close and increase people's distance from Allah!
