Tarahum Al-Hanaeen
Peace be upon you. Dear brothers, there is a recent phenomenon called "Tarahum Al-Hanaeen," where people pray for mercy upon everyone, whether they are Muslim, atheist, or disbelievers, whether they honor God and His Sharia or mock and scorn it..
As long as (he is not violent...he did not kill anyone), he is a martyr in the religion of humanism, so it is permissible, even obligatory, to pray for mercy upon him. Whoever forbids this is an extremist, narrow-minded, fanatical bigot!
In a few months, several events of this kind occurred: the death of a person in Tunisia who stood in front of the Tunisian parliament to say arrogantly to God: (We have no relation to religion or the Quran or the Quranic verses. We deal with the state's constitution. We are in a civil state, and saying that the Tunisian state's reference is religious is a gross mistake).
When he died, many prayed for mercy upon him, considering that he stood with the Palestinian cause!!
Then the death of Muhammad Shahrur a few days ago, and finally two days ago, the death of a girl who apostatized from Islam and became an activist in spreading atheism, so "Al-Hanaeen" prayed for mercy upon her and performed the funeral prayer for her!
So I comment on all of this, dear ones:
- Praying for mercy is worship. Our Prophet said: (Supplication is worship)...worship must be as God commanded, not according to your whims.
- Praying for mercy is not to show your humanity and compassion, nor to criticize those you dislike among the "religious," nor to distance yourself from extremism and fanaticism!
- Whoever prays for mercy upon those who do not deserve it is a rebel against God and His Messenger. If he defends his mercy after the evidence has been presented, he is closer to being a denier of God and His Messenger!
- God says to you: (Indeed, Allah does not forgive that partners be associated with Him) and you say: "No, my Lord, there is hope that He will forgive him!"
- God says: (It is only because they hate what Allah has sent down that He has nullified their deeds)...and you say about people who openly hate what Allah has sent down, and complete their contempt for the Quran with disgust, yet you say: "No, my Lord, they have human deeds, You will not nullify them, You will count them for them and admit them to Paradise!"
- God the Almighty says about the hypocrites who show faith but are much lighter than the heads of atheism and those who distort religion, God says about them: (And do not pray for any of them when he dies or stand at his grave)...praying for the dead is for supplication for him, and standing at his grave is for supplication for mercy and forgiveness...and God forbids this prayer and supplication for them, and you say: "No, my Lord, my humanity compels me to supplicate for them even if they fought You and distorted Your religion. No, my Lord, I am more merciful than You, so I am forced to supplicate for them!"
- The issue is not that we are less humane and merciful than you, O those who pray for mercy upon the disbelievers, but the issue is simply that we love God and His Messenger more than you, honor God and His religion more than you, and are more zealous for God's religion, more polite with God, and more truthful to God and His Messenger than you, O those who pray for mercy upon the enemies of God.
- Also, O honorable one who prays for mercy! Since you are "merciful" in this way, have you thought about the crime you commit against the living?!
- Praying for mercy upon a disbeliever who died is a crime against the living, for this mercy deters them from repenting to God before death...since everyone is expected to be shown mercy, even the great atheists, forgers, and distorters of religion, why repent?!
- One of the most important lessons for people is: the bad end...that a person dies in a bad state of disbelief in God. These rebellious people who pray for mercy erase the effect of this lesson, claiming and spreading among people that even those with bad ends are expected to be shown mercy!
- Now, O you who pray for mercy upon Shahrur because his "Islam" is sweeter than the Islam of the "backward" scholars, because he "used his mind" according to your expression, have you read what Shahrur said before you prayed for mercy upon him? Have you read Shahrur in his book Al-Qisas Al-Qur'aniyyah: (Man is the small god in the metaphorical sense)...according to the doctrine that Shahrur spreads about the unity of existence?!
Have you read Shahrur's statement in the same book: (God's knowledge is knowledge of all possibilities before the event occurs, but it is not certain knowledge of which choice Zayd and Amr will take"...meaning he denies God's perfect knowledge!
Have you read his statement in his book (Al-Dawla Wal-Sulta): (God did not predestine misery and happiness, wealth and poverty, long life and short life for anyone since eternity)...meaning he denies God's predestination?!
Have you read his statement in his book (Al-Islam Wal-Insan): (The field of religious freedom is open to everyone, and every person has the right to follow the religious sect he wants, because all religious sects are from Islam)!?
Meaning there is no difference between Islam and distorted religions, Buddhism, cow worship, etc.!
Have you heard him in the program (La'allahum Ya'qilun) on Abu Dhabi Channel - and note the channel! - saying:
(After my master, the Messenger of humanity is qualified to legislate)..."My master, the Messenger of God" to flatter emotions, then makes it the right of humanity to legislate contrary to the Sharia of the Messenger of God!
- And he says: My master, the Messenger of God did not explain the wise revelation.
- And he says: (The Prophet Muhammad did not come with material miracles, they asked him for miracles, he said there are none)! Denying hundreds of authentic hadiths proving material miracles of the Prophet, peace be upon him, such as the splitting of the moon, which is mentioned in the Quran.
- Have you looked at Shahrur's obscenity and his analysis of all the forbidden things? Have you read his many fatwas on his official website shahrour.org that permit fornication? For example, on 23-10-2015, a person named himself Al-Tum Al-Barir saying:
(I want you to clarify the issue of practicing sex and its punishment with God if a girl in need asks me to practice sex with her, and at the same time, I am in need of it, and we are both unmarried and Muslims, will we be punished for it as a crime of fornication?)
- Shahrur replied: (Brother Tum, fornication is the public practice even if between married people, but what you are talking about is a relationship between two adults, unmarried, with the consent of both, it follows personal taste and the customs and laws of society only)! !!!
Do you want to verify? Write: (Shahrur practicing sex and its punishment) on Google...the second option that comes up, enter it, search for the phrase (Al-Tum Al-Barir).
And there are many other "fatwas" that undermine the foundations of religion.
All of this is just a drop in the ocean.
No Muslim scholar disagrees that it is blatant disbelief to deny something necessarily known in Islam. Shahrur denied most of the categorical truths in Islam.
If after all this you pray for mercy upon such people, this is due to the lack of love for God and His Messenger in your heart! This is because you do not feel zeal for God's religion.
This is because you do not have true faith in God and the Hereafter, but you have faith in Shahrur's religion. God the Almighty said: (You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger)
And the Messenger of God said: (The strongest bonds of faith are: loyalty for the sake of Allah, enmity for the sake of Allah, love for the sake of Allah, and hatred for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime) (authenticated by Al-Albani).
God the Almighty said: (And do not pray for any of them when he dies or stand at his grave)...praying for the dead is for supplication for him, and standing at his grave is for supplication for mercy and forgiveness...
Who is this about? About people like Abdullah bin Abi, who was not an active atheist spreading atheism and calling to it like Nurhan Nasr, and who did not compose books to destroy the pillars of Islam and permit major sins and deny the authenticity of the Sunnah like Shahrur, and who did not say arrogantly to God: (We have no relation to religion or the Quran or the Quranic verses).
Abdullah bin Abi conspired in secret and said words that carried faces...and yet, the verse was revealed about him and his likes: (And do not pray for any of them when he dies or stand at his grave)..
Imagine a Muslim in the time of the Prophet hearing these verses then saying: No, O Messenger of God, I will pray for mercy and forgiveness for him!
If you are a follower of the religion of humanism...die upon it and wait for the "Paradise of humanism."
Tarahum Al-Hanaeen is the result of deifying man....(Have you seen him who has taken his desire as his god? Will you then be his guardian?)...
And in the religion of humanism: "It is enough that he did not kill a human being," but the right of God is not important!
And even from the "human" perspective, if you believe in the Hereafter, hellfire, and Paradise, which is worse? Killing a human being? Or causing many to die in disbelief so that they will abide in the Hellfire?!
God the Almighty said: (And the trial is greater than killing)...these leaders of atheism and distortion of religion cause many to die in disbelief so that they will abide in the Hellfire...
And yet, it is as if you say: (No, my Lord...it is not to this extent...killing is much worse than making people disbelieve)!
If you are upon the religion of humanism, let it benefit you when the two angels come to you and ask you: Who is your Lord? What is your religion? Say to them: (My religion is humanism).
You are not more merciful than us, but the difference between us and you is: believing in God, honoring the right of God, zeal for God's religion, and love and hatred for the sake of God.
O Allah, let us die as Muslims and join us with the righteous.
