Al-Halqa 2
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah. Ikhwati Al-Karam, we are in the series ((La Yastawun)) where we discuss the difference between the Muslim and the Kafir in terms of their current state, end, value, reward, and destiny, based on the light of the Quran. Allah says: ((Am Naj'alul Lazeena Amanu Wa 'Amilu Al-Salihati Kama Al-Mufsideena Fil-Ard Am Naj'alul Muttaqeena Kama Al-Fajareen)) What distinguishes you, O Muslim brother? It is the Tawheed (monotheism) that you carry in your heart. - The Tawheed for which Allah created the heavens and the earth, sent the messengers, revealed the books, created Paradise and Hell, set the Sirat (bridge over Hell), and will place the scales of justice on the Day of Judgment. - In contrast, Shirk (polytheism) is the negation of the word of Tawheed. A word that a human says, as if it destroys everything for which creation was created! ((Wa Qalu Atkhatha Ar-Rahman Waladan Laqad Ji'tum Shayan 'Idan Takad As-Samawatu Yatafattarna Minhu Wa Tanshaq Al-Ardu Wa Takhru Al-Jibalu Hada An Da'awal Lil-Rahmani Waladan)). - The word of Tawheed is the most beloved word to Allah: The Messenger of Allah said: ((Khayru Ma Qulta Ana Wa An-Nabiyyuna Min Qabli La Ilaha Illa Allah Wahdahu La Sharika Lahu, Lahu Al-Mulk Wa Lahu Al-Hamd Wa Huwa 'Ala Kulli Shay'in Qadir)) (Sahih-Al-Silsila Al-Sahihah). And in the hadith narrated by Muslim: ((Ahabbu Al-Kalami Ila Allahi Arba'un)) among which he mentioned: ((La Ilaha Illa Allah)). - In contrast, Kufr (disbelief) is the most hated thing to Allah. He says: ((Innal Lazeena Kafaru Yanaduna Limuqti Allahi Akbaru Min Muqtikum Anfusakum Idh Tad'unu Ila Al-Imani Ftakfuru (10) )) (Ghafir). -Tawheed is the greatest elixir that, if placed on the mountains of sins, will dissolve them. In the hadith qudsi: ((Ya Ibna Adam In Kunta Ataytani Bikurab Al-Ard Khatiyatan Thumma Laqaytani La Tushriki Biyashay'an La Ataytaka Bikurabaha Maghfirah)) (Al-Silsila Al-Sahihah) - In contrast, Shirk nullifies the deeds, no matter how much and how good they are. Allah says: ((Wa Laqad Awhayna Ilaika Wa Ila Al-Lazeena Min Qablika Law An Ashrakta Layahbat 'Amaluka Wa Latakunanna Min Al-Khasireen (65) )) (Az-Zumar). So, brothers and sisters, does the word for which the heavens and the earth were created equal the word that almost destroys the heavens and the earth? Does the word with which Allah forgives sins equal the word that is the greatest of sins, indeed the sin that Allah does not forgive? Does the most beloved word to Allah equal the most hated word to Him? Do the people of the first word equal the people of the second word? No, by Allah, they do not equal. Even if the people of Tawheed live in oppression and poverty, sleeping on stones and dying of hunger, and the people of Shirk live in gold and silk. ((Wa Al-Hayatu Ad-Dunya Inama Huwa Labu Wa Lahwu Wa Lilladhi Al-Akhirati Khayrun Lillazeena Yattaqun Afala Ta'qilun (32) )) (Al-An'am).
Do the people of the two words equal? They do not equal.
