Episode 5
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Dear brothers, we are still in the series (They Are Not Equal) through which we learn our worth as Muslims who believe in Allah in a way that distinguishes us from the polytheists. Allah Almighty mentions the difference when He says: ((The two groups are like the blind and the deaf, the seeing and the hearing. Can they be equal in comparison? Will you not remember (24) )) (Hud). Although the believer may lose his sight, he remains seeing: ((For it does not blind the eyes but it blinds the hearts that are in the chests)). While the disbeliever is blind even if his sight is intact, because he did not benefit from it in contemplating the Oneness of Allah and believing in Him. ((And We have certainly destined for Hell many of the jinn and mankind, having hearts with which they do not understand, and having eyes with which they do not see, and having ears with which they do not hear)) (Al-A'raf 179). The believer is alive and the disbeliever is dead: ((And the living are not equal to the dead)) (Fatir 22), and here life is the life of faith and death is the death of disbelief even if he is given a long life: People are of two kinds: dead in their lives and others alive in the grave
The believer's good deeds are multiplied in the scale ((The example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is like a seed which grows into seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills, and Allah is all-encompassing and knowing (261) )) While the disbeliever, the hypocrite, and the pretender: ((And We have put forward to them their deeds and made them as scattered dust)). So, are they equal? They are not equal.
If the believer dies, his death is a great event, and among the believers are those whose death has effects even after the heavens. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said in the agreed-upon hadith: ((The Throne of the Most Merciful shook at the death of Sa'd bin Mu'adh))! While if the disbeliever dies, the universe does not care about him. Allah says about the people of Pharaoh after mentioning their drowning: ((And the heaven and the earth did not weep for them, nor were they given respite)). Yes, no good deed of theirs ascended to the heaven to weep for its cessation, nor did they prostrate on the earth to weep for the cessation of their prostration that used to gather them with the earth in the form of submission and humility to Allah Almighty: ((And they said to the earth, 'Come to us willingly or by force.' They said, 'We come willingly.')). So, is the believer equal to the disbeliever? They are not equal.
And here, brothers, things begin to appear in their true form, at death and after it, and the difference between the believer and the disbeliever becomes clear. This is what we will see in the upcoming episodes, God willing. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
