Episode 7
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Dear brothers, we continue with the series (They Are Not Equal), in which we explore the difference between the believer and the disbeliever to thank Allah for the blessing of Islam and to ignite in our hearts a flame of love for goodness and guidance for humanity. The believer stands firm in the grave when the two angels question him, and Allah inspires him with the answer that pleases Him, the Almighty. This is His saying: (Allah will establish those who believe with the firm word in this worldly life and in the Hereafter), while the hypocrite says: (I do not know; I heard people say something, so I said it) as in the hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari. That is, faith did not enter his heart. He only spoke with his tongue, imitating those around him from the Muslims. He did not utter the word of monotheism out of love for it and conviction in it. He only followed those he lived with. So, it did not benefit him in his grave. So, are they equal? They are not equal. When the believer sees paradise, he says ((All praise is to Allah who fulfilled His promise to us and made us inherit the earth, so we may dwell in Paradise wherever we wish. How excellent is the reward of the workers)). While on the other hand ((the disbeliever says, 'Oh, I wish I were dust')). So, are they equal? They are not equal. The believer remembers Allah's entry into Paradise with words of honor: ((Enter it in peace, safe (46) )) (Al-Hijr), ((Peace be upon you; you have done well, so enter it to abide therein (73) )) (Az-Zumar), ((Those are in Gardens of honor))... This believer may have been greatly humiliated in this world, but today his Lord strengthens him, breaks him, and makes his heart content. Meanwhile, notice, brother, that Allah, the Almighty, speaks of the entry of the disbelievers into Hell with words of humiliation and degradation: ((So, they will be thrown into it, they and the misguided (() and all the soldiers of Iblis together ())) Notice! Fikbikbu... the sound of the word (Fikbikbu) makes you feel like debris on a building, pushed to the edge to fall into an abyss in batches... ((So, they will be thrown into it, they and the misguided)) Similarly, He said: ((Allah will distinguish the wicked from the good and will make the wicked some of them upon others, then He will gather them all and put them into Hell))... May Allah protect us from seeing the mixture of disbelievers and hypocrites being thrown into Hell, the refuge is in Allah.
And Allah also said: ((Take him and drag him to the middle of Hell (47) )) (Ad-Dukhan). ((So, drag him)) as the commentators said: meaning, drag him and push him violently. ((Take him and drag him to the middle of Hell (47) then pour over his head from the boiling water (48) Taste it! You were indeed the mighty, the noble (49) )) (Ad-Dukhan). You were in this world seeing yourself as mighty and noble in status, and you would be arrogant towards the believer and mock them? This is your true fate, so know it now. And Allah said: ((On the Day they will be called to the Fire of Hell, this Fire which you used to deny)) Notice the sound of the word (Yud'oun). So, are they equal: ((Is he who will be cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do as you will; He is ever Watcher over what you do)) So, beware, brother, that no word or deed comes out of you that mocks the religion, lest you be moved from honor to humiliation. May Allah protect us and you. Are those who Allah said about them ((Those are in Gardens of honor)) equal to those whom Allah said about him: ((He will be given double the punishment on the Day of Resurrection and will abide therein humiliated))... Are the honored and the humiliated equal? No, by Allah, they are not equal. O Allah, honor us and do not humiliate us, raise us and do not abase us, make us mighty and do not humiliate us with Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
