They forgot a portion of what they were reminded with

I was reading some beautiful words published by one of the brothers on his account...words about severing ties with falsehood and its people, and rejecting to come under the wing of falsehood or acknowledge its legitimacy or participate in legislation without Allah based on non-Sharia references.. I said to myself: It must be said by Sayyid Qutb..or Muhammad Qutb..or a student from their school may Allah have mercy on them. I read the author's name..and the surprise was that he was one of the leaders of the call attributed - falsely - to Salafism in one of the countries! That was in a book of his from 2008. . Then I saw under his words a recent picture of him (Model 2019)!..an ugly picture of him and a group of bearded men (some of them with the Sunnah beards, pure!) from his group rallying to approve what was considered falsehood to them years ago which they rejected to participate in and said to its doer: (We do not work under your flag, nor do we accept your clothes, nor do we accept your leadership, nor do we acknowledge your authority)!! When I read the words then looked at the picture, I saw a great difference, while recalling the other shameful positions of the mentioned person..I did not find an explanation except the saying of Allah the Almighty: (So because of their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard, they distort the words from their places and they forgot a portion of what they were reminded with)..The place of the verse specifically is that the major sins have among their punishments the forgetting of beneficial knowledge. Ibn Taymiyyah said: (Among the sins is what causes the concealment of beneficial knowledge or part of it; rather, it causes the forgetting of what was known and the confusion of truth with falsehood) Otherwise, Allah is the Preserver of the good, He would not misguide a people after He guided them and knew them..unless you see sins that deserve His anger (and among the most dangerous are the major sins of the heart). And after, these are the ends of the religion (of benefit and harm) which is in reality another religion other than Islam! With it, they respond to every Sharia evidence with desires and political and populist justifications, as if there is no revelation, no constants, no invocation of Allah's support for the obedient and His management of their affairs, but even no chivalry nor self-dignity!! O Allah, O Turner of hearts, guide these misguided ones and catch them with Your mercy before they die on this misguidance.. O Allah, O Turner of hearts, steadfast our hearts on Your religion, and do not leave us to ourselves for the blink of an eye, and do not punish us for what we have done, for Your might and greatness, if You leave us to ourselves and our sins, we will perish and be a lesson for others as these were a lesson for us!
