Episode 3 - You received a message!
My brother, imagine that you received a message from an honest, wealthy, influential man who says to you: (I am interested in you, concerned about your welfare, I want to bring you closer to me and bless you with some of what I have)...how happy would you be with this message? I think you would cherish it, memorize its words word by word, and share them with others, perhaps even sing them with your own melodies and hum them. This wealthy man is one of billions of humans inhabiting the planet Earth, and Earth is one of the planets in the solar system, its size is about one millionth of the size of the Sun, and the Sun is one of hundreds of millions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and the Milky Way galaxy is one of billions of galaxies captured by telescopes such as Hale, Hubble, BTA-6. Light travels the circumference of the Earth in about one-tenth of a second, and some galaxies are billions of light-years away, meaning the distance light travels in billions of years, such as the galaxy discovered by NASA on 26-1-2011, which was estimated to be 13.2 billion light-years away. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hubble/science/farthest-galaxy.html
All of this is an adornment with which Allah has adorned the lower heaven, which is but one of the seven heavens of Allah—may He be exalted—knows their greatness, and He has filled them with angels who glorify Him and to Him they prostrate. These seven heavens are nothing compared to the Throne of the Most Merciful, and the Most Merciful is upon His Throne, glorified be He, sending us messages that are the Quran. He tells us in it that He wants to have mercy on us, forgive us, and wants good for us in this world and the next. He wants to bless us, bring us closer to Him, make us His special ones, and admit us to His presence. So how should our joy be with the Quran?! Let us recall this meaning when we read His saying: ((And indeed, it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds (192))) (Al-Shu'ara)...imagine the meaning of Lord of the worlds. Let us recall this meaning as we read His saying: ((O mankind, there has come to you a message from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers ()) Say, 'By the favor of Allah and His mercy; with that let them rejoice. It is better than what they amass ())' Is it not an honor for us that Allah the Great addresses us, humans who are nothing in His kingdom?! Kings refuse to address the common people, while the King of Kings speaks to us, what greater honor is there!
Therefore, what we want from today's gesture is that you recall whenever you read and hear the Quran that it is the speech of Allah, the Lord of the worlds, who wants to honor you, elevate your status, and raise your worth, so He speaks to you.
