You are a partner in it

It seems that many people do not realize the gravity of the word, and that it may bring them misfortune and the wrath of Allah upon them. You may say a word to prove your "neutrality" in the common sense, or to disassociate yourself from the stigma of "extremism," or to record a position with those you think can benefit or harm you.. This is all that occupies your mind when you say it..

However, this word of yours contributed - little or much - to tightening the noose on the oppressed, silencing every voice that reminds them, and inflicting severe harm on those who want to support them..

This word of yours contributed to tarnishing public opinion and preparing it for all of this..

You said your word thinking of yourself, and you did not think of this.. You said it without recalling (What is uttered by a person, there is a watcher over him), and without recalling (He will inform them of what they have done; Allah has counted it, and they have forgotten).

Be absolutely certain that every tightening of the noose after this, you are a partner in it.. Every sorrow, pain, and tragedy for the oppressed after this, you are a partner in it, and you may have been yesterday among those who wept and burned for them!..

Every empowerment for those who portray themselves while defiling the Qurans with their filth, and arresting Muslim girls smiling, triumphant, raising signs of victory.. You are a partner in it!

Whether you wanted this or not. You were angry to hear this truth, or you feared and took heed.. You cursed the one who reminded you of it, or you thanked him.. Do you think this is an exaggeration? This is because you have not accustomed yourself to recalling the pleasure of the Lord, the watchful, the all-knowing, in everything you say and do, but what dominates you is: "the people's talk, the people's pleasure, the people's anger," and you did not understand the saying of our Prophet ﷺ in the hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim: (Verily, a servant may utter a word for which he does not realize its importance, and he falls into Hellfire because of it, farther than the distance between the east and the west).. What he does not realize its importance, meaning he does not think of its effect and what follows from it in terms of reward or sin, good or evil, nor does he consider its consequence, nor does he think it will have any effect, but it is great in its ugliness with Allah, and he falls into the depths of Hell because of it. Say what you will, and take positions as you wish..

(Verily, it is We who give life to the dead and record what they have sent forth and their deeds. And We have counted everything in a clear register (12)).
