You Are a Partner in It

It seems that many people do not realize the danger of the word, and that it may contain their misery and God's wrath upon them. You might say a word to prove your "moderation" in the common sense, or to disassociate yourself from the stigma of "extremism," or to register a stance with those whom you think hold the power to benefit or harm you... This is all that dominates your thinking when you said it..

But this word of yours contributed - little or much - to tightening the noose on the oppressed, silencing every voice that reminds of them, and inflicting severe harm on those who want to support them..

This word of yours contributed to distorting public opinion, and preparing it for all of this..

You said your word thinking of yourself, and you did not think of this.. You said it while you were not keeping in mind (Not a word does he utter but there is a watcher by him, ready), and not keeping in mind (Then He will inform them of what they did. Allah has enumerated it, while they forgot it).

Be absolutely certain that every tightening of the noose after this, you are a partner in it.. Every sorrow, pain, and tragedy for the oppressed after this, you are a partner in it, even though yesterday you might have been among those who wept and burned with anguish for their sake!..

Every empowerment of those who photograph themselves while desecrating the Qurans with their filth and arresting Muslim daughters while smiling, gloating, and raising victory signs.. you are a partner in it!

Whether you like it or not. Whether you got angry at hearing this truth or feared and took heed.. Whether you insulted the one who reminded you of it or thanked them.. You think this is an exaggeration? This is because you have not accustomed yourself to keeping in mind the pleasure of the Lord, the Watchful, the All-Knowing, in everything you say and do. Rather, your obsession and what controls you is: "People's talk, people's satisfaction, and people's anger," and you did not understand the saying of our Prophet, peace be upon him, in the Hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim: (Indeed, a servant may speak a word which he does not realize the implications of, by which he slips into the Fire further than the distance between the East and the West).. "Does not realize the implications of" means he does not think about its effect and what results from it of reward or sin or rectification and corruption, and does not reflect on its consequence, and does not think that it affects anything, but it is great in its ugliness with Allah, so he falls by it - meaning: descends and drops because of it - into the depths of Hell. Say what you wish, and take whatever stances you wish..
