Holland, Tomatoes & Success Vitamins

Ayman: Mu'awiyah! Mu'awiyah: Yes? Ayman: What do you know about Holland? Mu'awiyah: Holland has a football team... Ayman: I mean Holland as a country; not as a team Mu'awiyah: Actually, not much Ayman: Did you know that Holland is only 41,543 square kilometers with a population of only 17 million yet, it is the second-largest agricultural exporter in the whole world! Mu'awiyah: Really?! Ayman: Yes, indeed In 2011 the OECD rated it as the happiest country and it ranked tenth in per capita income Mu'awiyah: I applaud you for knowing all this Ayman: Allah bless you! I lived in Holland for 5 years; during which I learned their language, read their books, and studied the secrets to their success I read 12 books about their success and the secret to their ingenuity; truly a wonderful civilization! Mu'awiyah: You are truly impressive! Ayman: The thing is, after my study I came up with a theory Mu'awiyah: Aha! Ayman: My theory is that the secret to Holland's success is tomatoes! Mu'awiyah: Tomatoes?! Ayman: Yes, tomatoes, because... Mu'awiyah: Why tomatoes specifically?! Ayman: Holland makes up 1/4 of the world's tomato exports; and in tomatoes lies the vitamin of success! Yes, sir! Mu'awiyah: I applaud you for your information Truly, I believe your information but your conclusion is not logical Ayman: How is my conclusion not logical?! Wait a minute! When I asked you about Holland you knew nothing about it So, since I know more than you about Holland my conclusion must be correct! Such is the skillful deception practiced by the promoters of the evolution myth: mixing observations with assumptions and facts with myth They spend hours in extensive explanation of biological details, discoveries, and research then mention the myth of 'evolution' —in passing— to make it easier to accept; as if the facts mentioned and the evolution myth are two integral parts of the same package; to be taken together So you think, "This person's argument is scientific; based experimental observations and meticulous analysis." While, in fact, he has inserted a lie or misinterpretation to employ the observations in a completely wrong direction; regardless of whether he is convinced of the lie or not You might start a discussion with someone who says, "What do you know about Finches? What do you know about Guppy Fish? Italian Wall Lizards? Bacterial resistance to antibiotics? Citrate-utilizing bacteria?" You ask, "Why about these examples?" He replies, "These all underwent 'microevolution'. right in front of our eyes: random mutations in the genome which produced —by chance beneficial traits for finches, Guppy fish, lizards, and bacteria; making them more adaptive to a given environment then they underwent natural selection; all in a limited period Consequently, over hundreds of millions of years, bacteria may have also evolved into all types of organisms through random mutations." Meaning: If we prove that 'microevolution' occurs within a few years then we can imagine 'macroevolution' producing different kinds of organisms! over hundreds of millions of years! Our guy then explains, at length the changes that happened in the structures of these organisms then says, "You don't know about these things Yet, you dare to discuss evolution; you fool!" As a result, you feel yourself shrinking in front of this scientist who knows much more than you and think that he based his convictions on science However, upon scientific examination you find out that he is simply lying or being lied to! All the examples he has deluded you into viewing as examples of random mutations that adapted to the environment, by chance are, in fact —according to scientific research— examples of adaptations that follow intricately designed mechanisms; with no room for randomness whatsoever! You'll find in these organisms, their genome, and its expression mechanisms an ability to change the organism's traits to adapt to environmental changes; in a way that indicates that they and their environment are designed by an All-Knowing, Capable, All-Wise, Creator and Sustainer of all that exists We clearly saw this brothers and sisters in the episode on citrate-utilizing bacteria and we'll explain more later on, Allah willing using the examples they cite The myth followers claim that these are random mutations and they dazzle you with numerous examples while lying about the point of contention The truth is that all the examples they cite are an argument for you; not against you Many, including some myth-opponents commit a big mistake when they say, "We do not deny 'microevolution' rather, we deny 'macroevolution' which transforms an organism into another kind of species Bacteria evolved but they remained bacteria Darwin's finches evolved but they remained birds." No, dear viewers, no! Evolution is about random changes and blind natural selection This is how they define evolution and this is the meaning of the term for its supporters When you accept so-called 'microevolution' you're acknowledging that randomness can give organisms useful traits; which is false mentally and scientifically All the examples they cite are in fact, exquisitely beautiful adaptations with no room —at all— for randomness So it is neither 'macro', 'micro', 'nano', nor 'femto' evolution! Here, it should not be said: Terminology is not an issue or Names do not matter On the contrary, myth zealots count on this play of words! They want to appear as free thinkers with broad scientific imagination and deep insight as they say, "Since microevolution takes place over a few years why can't macroevolution occur over hundreds of millions of years?!" making those who deny their argument appear superficial and narrow-minded; when referring to adaptation as 'microevolution' is, in reality overturning the facts Adaptation is a fact while microevolution is an illusion and a lie Adaptation indicates wisdom, intent, and planned design while evolution means randomness and chance Calling adaptation microevolution is like calling ignorance 'knowledge' and calling nonsense 'wisdom' That's what we mean by 'mixing fact with myth' and 'mixing observations with theory' It's very important to be aware of this It's just like our friend who mixed up correct information about Holland with his theory about the success vitamin in tomatoes Mixing truth with falsehood is an old trick for which Allah, Almighty condemned the People of the Scriptures, "O People of the Scripture, why do you mix the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know [it]?" (Quran Translated Meaning 3:71) Likewise, they mix facts with the falsehood of the evolution myth and conceal any facts that destroy their myth In addition the observations of the universe which lead to the Creator are mixed with whims! You hardly find a documentary without needlessly crammed-in scenes which stimulate desire and distort the mind; as if they're insinuations from the Devil to his supporters to block faith from slipping into the hearts of people as they see the marvels of creation, so their tongues don't move to utter, "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You (above such claims) then protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (QTM 3:191) Instead, lust prevails and heedlessness takes hold while watching such scenes So, the first method we discussed dear viewers is mixing myth with facts: You listen to scientific presentations that you feel add a lot to your knowledge and you are dazzled. Then, with a touch of magic these words are used to promote the myth! Train yourselves, dear viewers to distinguish between information and deduction Ask the person addressing you, "Is this a fact or your own deduction? If it is a fact, give me your evidence If it is a deduction, I must verify the validity of your deduction." Because validity of information doesn't necessarily mean validity in deduction! Be a judicious critic and distinguish between truth and myth Peace be upon you!
