Today is the first day my little one (Noor) completes fasting a full day. Every little while she comes to ask me how much remains until sunset, then complained of tiredness....so I told her: My dear, imagine how you'll see Allah's face glory be to Him on Judgment Day and He's pleased with you because you fasted out of love though you're not obligated to..if you remember that you'll be patient and happy with your fasting..

Noor smiled and said: "A nice feeling"..and here she is coming to me every little while again to ask how much remains 😊

We need to attach our children to Allah with such phrases: Allah's pleasure, Allah's love, meeting Allah, seeing Allah, Allah's joy in you..to raise in them souls that worship Allah with nobility, not souls that condition their Lord for worldly reward or else the path becomes too long.
