It's medically known that if a person has weak immunity, they shouldn't receive a vaccine containing weak viruses. The immune system won't be able to form an appropriate response and antibodies, on the contrary, the virus may activate and cause destruction to the patient.
Likewise when general Muslims have weak immunity against doubts...as they don't have doctrinal, intellectual, methodological, psychological nor faith-based immunity. Neither home upbringing, school, Friday sermons nor media equipped them with these immunities.
Exposing Muslims in this condition to doubts under the pretext of "enlightenment" and "stimulating the mind" is exactly like exposing someone with weak immunity to a virus.
Whoever wants good for Muslims and that their faith not be blind imitation must work on building these immunities in their souls:
- Doctrinal immunity through correct creed,
- Intellectual/methodological through knowing sound thinking methods and distinguishing tricks and logical fallacies,
- Psychological by reviving Islamic honor and treating feelings of inferiority and psychological defeat,
- Faith-based through education on seeking truth with detachment and getting rid of sins' obstacles and heart diseases so that (O you who believe, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion) applies to us...to distinguish between truth and falsehood.
And then, discussing a doubt in a scholarly manner and appropriate context will indeed generate a strong immune response in them.
