"I want people to love me so they love the Truth that is with me" This thinking is one of the biggest entry points of Satan into the souls of influencers, including preachers.. So one of them starts focusing on his person and makes people's admiration of him a goal in itself... and behaves in that with behaviors containing vulgarity... And he, with that, convinces himself that this does not contradict sincerity and that he does all of that to bring people to Allah.. The successful wise person is the one who attached the hearts of his lovers and followers to Allah, and taught them to revolve with the Truth wherever it revolves, and not to become attached to his person, to gain three things: First: The rectitude of his own intention, may Allah accept from him. Second: The rectitude of people's intention. For if they do good in imitation of the one they love, that might be at the expense of evoking the meaning of pure servitude to Allah. Third, and it is extremely dangerous: Even if he deviates and goes astray one day, he would have taught people to correct him, otherwise they leave him and proceed on the path of Truth, so he bears only the sin of himself. But if they go astray with him out of attachment to him, then woe to him for how much the scale of his bad deeds will carry! Reflect after that on the sermon of Al-Siddiq when he said: (Amma Ba'd [To proceed], O people, I have been appointed over you, and I am not the best of you. If I do well, aid me; and if I do wrong, correct me). And there is no protector except Allah.
