If mercy and Paradise were hoped for everyone, then there would be no value left for monotheism (Tawheed).
Nor would there be any need to send all the prophets whose most important message was: (Worship none but Allah), nor to reveal the scriptures..
Nor for the Islamic conquests to spread this religion..
And there would be no need to read Surah Al-Ma'idah and Al-Imran and the endings of Surah Maryam (And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son" (88) You have done an atrocious thing (89) The heavens almost rupture from it and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation (90) That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son).
Nor would there be any need for us to struggle and sacrifice and bear the enmity of those who hate us for the sake of our religion..
And Allah is the source of strength
