Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The servant has two stands before his Lord: A stand before Him in prayer. And a stand before Him on the day of meeting Him. Whoever fulfills the right of the first stand, the other stand will be eased for him. And whoever is careless with this stand and does not fulfill its right, that stand will be made severe for him. Allah said: ((And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt Him a lengthy [part of] the night. Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day.))
