Ibn Al-Jawzi said: (Beware of sins, for if there were nothing in them but the dislike of meeting Him, that would be sufficient punishment) Meaning, sufficient punishment is that you would be like one feeling alienated from meeting Allah because you feel He is not pleased with you, instead of feeling at ease with Him and longing to meet Him pleased with you. Therefore I say: if there were nothing but confidence in His companionship, that would be sufficient reward. Sufficient reward for good deeds is that they are a reason for your confidence that Allah is with you, saving you, managing your affairs, protecting you, supporting you, and placing blessings within the belly of trials.
