A little while ago I took my nine and a half year old daughter for a simple medical procedure, after which the doctor told her she would not be able to participate with her classmates in the upcoming sports activity, even though she was eagerly anticipating it. Hoping she would participate in the one after it. My daughter said with a beautiful smile a phrase I liked: (Dad, do you know why I'm pleased with myself? Because Allah makes me patient). As if she were saying: I am pleased with myself, but I attribute the credit to my Lord for my patience, and I am only pleased because Allah made me a place for His mercy.
