Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. This is a message for our displaced brothers in Gaza. The reason for this message is that I saw some brothers posting on their accounts a farewell to their homes, which hold their memories, saying, "Now we will move to the life of the displaced, and Allah is our helper." I would like to comfort my brothers with verses from the Book of Allah the Almighty.
I am ashamed to address you while we do not support you as a Muslim should support his brother; due to our weakness and lack of means, and Allah is our helper. However, some of our brothers in Gaza ask us to continue sharing these words to comfort them. Therefore, for your sake, we share them.
We say to you, dear brothers: Let us recall great verses from Surah Al-Imran. Allah the Almighty says: {So those who emigrated and were expelled from their homes and suffered in My cause and fought and were killed}. Some may say, "This does not apply to me." Be patient for a moment; without your popular support and your steadfastness and patience, and your support for your fighting brothers, would they have been able to endure more than eight months in this small piece of land (Gaza) against the forces of crime and disbelief that have gathered from all over the world against you? They would not have been able to endure.
Therefore, you are partners in the reward by the permission of Allah the Almighty, as long as you advise your fighting brothers that their jihad is for the word of Allah to be supreme, that there is no confusion in it, and that their fighting is a support for the oppressed. Then, at that time, by the permission of Allah, you are partners with them in the reward.
In the hadith narrated by Bukhari, our Prophet peace be upon him said: "Indeed, in the city (of Medina) there are people who, if you travel a distance or cross a valley, you will be partners with them in the reward." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, and they are in Medina?" He said, "And they are in Medina, but an excuse has detained them." O displaced ones, whoever is detained from you by an excuse but advises for Allah and His Messenger and calls the people to steadfastness and support, you are partners with them in the reward by the permission of Allah.
Follow with us the verses: {So those who emigrated and were expelled from their homes and suffered in My cause and fought and were killed, I will surely remove from them their evil deeds and admit them...} What will Allah admit them into? Is it an apartment in Gaza with an area of one hundred or three hundred square meters? Is it a villa or a palace? No, but: {And I will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow}; rivers of milk, and wine a delight to those who drink, and water, and purified honey. {A reward from Allah, and Allah is with Him the best of rewards}.
Allah the Almighty then says: {Let not the turning of the disbelievers in the land delude you * A brief enjoyment, then their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place}. Then He reminds you of your beautiful fate, if Allah wills, once again: {But those who fear their Lord will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein, as accommodation from Allah. And what is with Allah is better for the righteous}.
By Allah, what is with Allah is better than this world and what is in it, better than Gaza, better than the most beautiful palaces in the world and the most beautiful countries in the world.
Someone may say, "But we have been humiliated and our value has decreased in this displacement." Far be it from you! And far be it from the shoes you walk with to be an insult. By Allah, I swear—and I know what I swear by—that what is on your feet is more honorable and nobler than all those who conspire against you, and all those who betray you, and all those who seek to humiliate you so that you may be a lesson to everyone who wants to raise his head.
You are not humiliated. The measure is Allah's look at you and the believers' look at you. Remember these verses and be patient with them, taste their sweetness: {So those who emigrated and were expelled from their homes and suffered in My cause...}.
Then Allah the Almighty concludes the Surah by saying: {O you who have believed, endure and be more enduring and watch and fear Allah that you may be successful}.
I ask Allah the Almighty to relieve your distress soon, to support you against our enemies and your enemies, and to gather us with you in Paradise under the shade of the honor of Islam and the Muslims, and in the Hereafter as brothers on facing couches, and to help us support you with a support that Allah will raise from us the sin and benefit you with it.
O beloved brothers, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
