Introduction to the Case of Hala Ahaid
Peace be upon you. In the past few days, we have been following the discussion surrounding Hala Ahaid. Personally, I have been and still am busy, so I have not spoken about the topic. However, I see that it is necessary to put the dots on the letters with centered and calm speech.
The issue began when the "Ahl Foundation" posted about workshops they organize for Hala Ahaid to learn about feminism. In the registration model for the workshop, there were several options for choosing gender: (male, female, other, prefer not to disclose); this is part of the "gender package" that is sweeping the world.
This matter led people to dig into the foundation's past, revealing that it partners with institutions such as the "Gender Forum," which advocates for the rights of lesbians and promotes the fight against the culture of chastity and virginity.
Positions of Hala Ahaid with Evidence
Upon researching Hala Ahaid's record, the following was revealed with evidence, sound, and image:
- Defending those who mock religion: She donated legal representation to Zleekha Abu Risha, known for mocking Islam, and succeeded in getting her out of a case of insulting Islam.
- Opposing Sharia rulings: She stood against the Sharia ruling of retaliation against a legally responsible boy (aged 17) who raped a four-year-old girl and then killed her. In a discussion about the death penalty on the "Ruya" channel, she described the penalty—as it is fixed in Sharia—as "a harsh and inhuman solution, a way to escape solving the problem, and its results and the defect that follows cannot be remedied."
- Rejecting the Quranic text: After a lawyer mentioned in the interview the saying of Allah the Almighty: {And there is for you in retaliation a preservation of life, O you of understanding, that you may become righteous} [Al-Baqarah 2:179], Hala insisted on rejecting retaliation by killing, no matter the justifications, and that she is looking for a "more humane" way.
- Advocating for international conventions: She advocates for adherence to conventions such as "CEDAW" and calls for the elimination of the remaining Sharia in personal status law, as these remnants contradict the "absolute equality" stipulated by international conventions.
- Association with dubious institutions: She received awards from the Irish "Front Line Defenders" foundation, known for supporting deviance in the Islamic world. She also recommended reading "gender" books that deny the existence of real differences between males and females.
The Context of the Global War on Fitrah
Many ordinary people have expressed their rejection of these positions. In response, feminist and gender institutions in Jordan have risen to defend her, followed by some figures who consider her to have other positions in defending teachers' rights and that her freedom of expression should be respected.
However, let us remember that all of this is happening in the context of the "global war on fitrah." The international system and the United Nations are spreading sexual frenzy for material and exploitative purposes and to reduce population growth, through slogans of equality and international conventions. These are the same conventions that are internationally interpreted to criminalize marriage before the age of eighteen and to incite pre-marital sex.
We see the effects of this in the fragmentation of the family institution in Jordan and the increase in divorce and bachelorhood rates. We also recall the USAID recommendations to use "Islamic feminists" to spread the concept of gender, which we have discussed in detail in previous episodes.
Double Standards and Intellectual Intimidation
Amidst this systematic war, we see a comment from an anonymous account calling for the elimination of Hala Ahaid, so the feminist and CEDAW institutions supported from abroad rise up and declare a general mobilization, demanding the intervention of security authorities and the suppression of voices that represent "hate speech."
They want to exploit any transgression from an anonymous account to silence everyone, so that these institutions can continue to implement gender agendas and eliminate the landmarks of Islam. If any real or fabricated physical harm occurs, this will be the golden opportunity for these institutions to silence any voice that stands in the way of their agendas.
I address my speech first to the zealous who denounced these positions: May Allah reward you well, your denial of evil is a safety valve for our societies, and do not let these positions affect your defense of your religion and morals.
Then, I address my speech to the figures who defended Hala Ahaid, even though some of them had a good position during the discussion of the "Child Law"—which Hala Ahaid was one of the main promoters of, by the way—or in front of the closure of memorization centers.
Among them is a well-known writer who said: "The activist and human rights defender Hala Ahaid did not stand as a spectator in all just causes, but she defended the right, supported it, and stood by it at a time when many heads and beards hid... If you do not know who Hala Ahaid is, do not pass judgment on her, she is with her and all support for her."
In reality, it was a strange position from this writer who had a good position on the closure of Quran memorization centers. We ask the writer: Do you not see a contradiction in your positions when you support the cause of Quran memorization centers, and at the same time support Hala, who defended Zleekha's demand to close memorization centers and stop teaching Sharia, jurisprudence, and the Sunnah because they "destroy minds and brainwash" as Zleekha stated?
What greater injustice to teachers than to demand that they teach gender concepts that are against their religion to destroy the fitrah of their students with them? Hala Ahaid is one of the promoters of gender, and she has training courses to promote the concept of "gender roles"; the term coined by "John Money" as we explained in detail in the episode "Gender: Its Reality and Beyond."
Critical Points in Evaluating Positions
There remain, esteemed guests, six essential points to mention:
First: The Legal Reference for Positions
A Muslim takes his positions based on the religion he adheres to. When you say "We support" or "We reject," these positions have no value unless they are legally substantiated with evidence. Otherwise, what does it matter if you reject or agree? You are a servant of Allah, meaning you obey Him in taking your positions. The matter here is not about quantity; even if everyone takes a position supporting falsehood, their position is not worth a date pit.
Second: The Criterion for Accepting Actions
When you ask, "Did we support just causes?" We ask you: Is this support acceptable to Allah? Our Prophet ﷺ was asked about the criterion for accepting actions and sacrifices, and he gave a clear answer: "Let the word of Allah be the highest, for it is in the cause of Allah." The conclusion is: He who exerts his effort, strives, and struggles to make the word of "Sidaou" the highest, the United Nations Convention the highest, and Zleekha Abu Risha the highest, is not in the cause of Allah.
The voices of some companions were raised at the Prophet ﷺ, and Allah, the Most High, revealed a warning that merely raising one's voice in his presence ﷺ threatens to nullify actions. What about those who raise their voices above the ruling of Allah, the Most High, and demand the cancellation of the effects of the Sharia or the modification of the understanding of its texts to conform with agreements drafted by people who disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger?
Third: Excommunication and Denial
Faith and disbelief are legal rulings that do not go beyond knowledge and insight. However, do not play the game of silencing people from denying Hala's positions under the pretext that there are those who have excommunicated her. Now, whenever someone demolishes Islam and attacks its constants, we deny him, they raise in our faces the weapon of "takfirphobia" to silence everyone while they see the constants being demolished and external agendas being executed to steal our children.
We do not judge people, but we warn against positions. You, the accused and condemned followers of the external, such as the feminist movement that promotes the books of Nawal El Saadawi, the enemy of Allah and His Messenger, and Simone de Beauvoir, the pervert who molests and produces the intellectual garbage of gender; our subject is not to judge a person like Hala, but to warn against her positions. This is the lowest degree of faith: "He who cannot do so, let him do so with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith."
Fourth: The Lie of Freedom of Expression
Those who say, "She expresses her opinion"; what is her opinion about? About the Lord of the Worlds and His Sharia? It is a severe intellectual distortion to consider every opinion worthy of respect. This "freedom of expression" is the biggest lie; there is no system in the world that does not have sanctities that punish those who violate them. If a person tramples the flag of his country, he will be severely punished, and liberal systems suppress you if you attack their sanctities (gender, perversion, transformation).
Is it reasonable that Islam in particular—the religion of Allah the Truth—should not have sanctities? Is the religion of Allah more deserving of glorification or the secular constitution? If you described Hala's ruling of the constitution as "harsh and inhuman," as she described the hudud, would you defend her in the name of freedom of expression? Leading people astray from their religion, belittling the Sharia, and preferring secular agreements over it is worse than killing, as our Lord, the Most High, said: {And temptation is worse than killing}.
Fifth: The Reality of Hate Speech
Those who say, "This is hate speech"; is it hateful to speak of the Lord of mankind? Is it hateful to speak of the Lord of mankind ﷺ? {What is the matter with you that you do not hope for Allah's honor, while He has created you in stages}. The Muslim, to the extent that he loves Allah and His Messenger, hates the belittling and transgression against them. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The strongest bonds of faith are: love for the sake of Allah and hatred for the sake of Allah."
The real hate speech is that which sows hatred in society and between the components of a single family, through the implementation of the agendas of international institutions that have corrupted women against their husbands and children against their fathers under the banner of "women's and children's rights" and "Sidaou."
Sixth: Normalization with Gender
Defending Hala—knowing that her case arose following a gender activity (male, female, other)—is "normalization with gender." After people used to be disgusted by gender and what follows it, the tune is now: "Even if she promotes gender, she has good positions." Thus, little by little, the aversion to the war on fitrah dies in the heart, and the social consciousness is shaped in a distorted way.
As for us, we say to her: Fear Allah and reconsider these positions, for Allah, the Most High, has not closed the door of repentance, and your guidance is more beloved to us. We ask Allah to rectify our affairs and save our country and the countries of the Muslims.
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
