Al-Hallaj Series
The Al-Hallaj Series: Analysis and Motivations
Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah.
One of the Arab countries intends to broadcast a series about Al-Hallaj during the month of Ramadan. Who is Al-Hallaj? Why is a series about him being released at this time? Why does the American administration encourage the promotion of such figures? And why does the American Al-Hurra channel, funded by the American Congress, promote him?
Who is Al-Hallaj?
Firstly, brothers, Al-Hallaj is one of those who advocated for union and unity, meaning that Allah the Almighty has incarnated in creatures and they have become one with Him. Allah is far above such a notion. Even the imams of the Sufis distanced themselves from him, as we will see.
Ibn Al-Jawzi mentioned in his book "Al-Muntazam" among the poetry attributed to Al-Hallaj: "Glorified is He who manifested His humanity... a secret of His divine essence. Then He appeared in His creation visibly... in the form of the eater and the drinker." I seek refuge in Allah. He means that Allah has incarnated in His creatures.
What attracts the enemies of Islam is that Al-Hallaj promoted the unity of religions. Among what he said: "The creatures have formed beliefs in Allah... and I believe in all that they believe." He believes in all the disbelief that the misguided sects of mankind believe in, and he believes in both monotheism and polytheism at the same time!
Ibn Al-Jawzi also reported that Al-Hallaj used to say to his companions: "You are Noah, and another one is Moses, and another one is Muhammad... their souls have been returned to your bodies."
The Scholars' Position on Al-Hallaj
Al-Dhahabi said in "Siyar A'lam Al-Nubala" about Al-Hallaj: "(And the rest of the Sufis and the scholars distanced themselves from him due to the evil of his conduct and his heresy. Among them are those who attributed him to incarnation, and among them are those who attributed him to heresy, to sorcery and magic. A group of misguided and corrupt people will hide behind him, claim him, and promote him among the ignorant. We ask Allah for protection in our religion.)"
Ibn Taymiyyah said in "Majmu' Al-Fatawa": "(Whoever believes in what Al-Hallaj believes in from the statements for which he was killed, he is a disbeliever and an apostate by the consensus of the Muslims. For the Muslims only killed him for incarnation and unity and similar statements of the heretics and atheists, such as his saying: 'I am Allah.' And his saying: 'A god in the heaven and a god on the earth.'... And Al-Hallaj had magical tricks and types of magic, and there are books attributed to him in magic.)"
Therefore, brothers, the correct description of Al-Hallaj is not that he is a "Sufi," but rather he is a heretic, a man deeply immersed in disbelief. So that no one can say to us: "Sufism has good things, and Al-Junayd was a righteous man." Among the Sufis, there are those who are good who distanced themselves from Al-Hallaj and his statements.
Even Al-Dhahabi reported in "Siyar A'lam Al-Nubala" that Al-Junayd, may Allah have mercy on him, said to Al-Hallaj after speaking to him and his corruption became apparent: "(What piece of wood would you corrupt?) meaning that he should be crucified. That is, someone like you should be killed and crucified on a piece of wood so that people can be warned by him, and the piece of wood on which he is placed will be corrupted."
And you will find someone who says: "(Oh brother, Al-Hallaj is different in his case... there are those who praised him)." Glory be to Allah! Does the nation lack its righteous and virtuous men who are agreed upon their righteousness, and the producers of the series and those who support them did not find anyone except a person who is different in his case, as you say, to highlight him like Al-Hallaj?
The Real Goals of Glorifying Al-Hallaj
Our problem, brothers, and this is very important... our problem is not that it is intended to exonerate Al-Hallaj from heresy, that (come on people: Al-Hallaj did not say these blasphemies attributed to him). We do not care and it does not concern us about Al-Hallaj as a historical figure if this is the presentation.
What is really intended is the normalization of Al-Hallaj's heresy. It is said to you: some of what is attributed to him is not correct. Come and listen to what he says. You listen and do not know what he said from what he did not say, and you sympathize with his personality that he may have been oppressed, and his blasphemous statements gradually seep into you with this psychological normalization!
The goal is clear from extracting Al-Hallaj from the trash of history, polishing him, and producing a complete series about him. The goal: "(But the plotting of night and day when they command you to disbelieve in Allah and make equals to Him)." It is a war on the creed of the Muslims. The sincere living scholars are imprisoned, their books are banned and withdrawn from centers, and the scholars of the early nation are defamed, and the heretics like Al-Hallaj are highlighted!
So, the purpose of this series, and Allah knows best, is several goals:
First: Attacking the creed of the Muslims and reviving the blasphemous creeds among them, which destroys the Muslims from within and weakens them from resisting the darkness, criminals, and the international system that enslaves people.
Second: Promoting the idea of the unity of religions and that there is no difference between monotheism and polytheism, and no difference between worshiping Allah the Creator of the heavens and the earth and worshiping cows, idols, and religions like Hinduism whose temples are built in Muslim countries. And notice, brothers, that these calls that claim there is no difference between religions and melt the differences between them are not published except among Muslims to destroy the source of their strength, while in the minds of the Jews, Christians, Hindus, and others, the pride in their religion is consolidated, and they are incited by the texts of their religion to dominate others.
Third: Defaming the image of the scholars of the nation in the past, by portraying them as savages who did not understand the intentions of Al-Hallaj and his literary expressions, so they unjustly ruled to kill him! So that the respect for the early scholars of the nation falls from your heart, and they are portrayed to you as extremists, ignorant, bloodthirsty, and opponents of free thought.
Western Support for Moderate Sufi Trends
Therefore, do not be surprised when you see the American strategic planning centers call for supporting this direction under the title of supporting Sufism, and even specify the need to publish the writings of certain names and export them in the media.
An example of this is the study published in 2007 entitled: (Building Moderate Muslim Networks) (Building Moderate Muslim Networks). Of course, we now know what America means by moderate Islam!
The report says on page 73: "(Traditionalists and Sufis are natural allies of the West to the extent that common ground can be found with them)." (Traditionalists and Sufis are natural allies of the West to the extent that common ground can be found with them). While the report, of course, recommends eliminating those whom they consider extremists and fighting them relentlessly.
The report recommends on page 74 supporting the direction of Fethullah Gulen because he says that Muslim countries should not impose Islamic laws because religion is a personal matter, and because he received a Jewish rabbi from "Israel."
And on page 101, supporting an obscure person on the basis that he calls on Muslims to obey the laws of the countries in which they live and calls for cooperation between the state of "Israel" and the Muslim peoples.
And on pages 154 and 155, several points to promote an understanding of Islam that is tolerant and peaceful, including creating networks of communication between schools and Sufi personalities to spread a peaceful and tolerant Islam (peaceful and tolerant Islam), and using them as (counter-ideology), meaning a counter to extremist thought in their words.
Free Channel and the Polishing of Al-Hallaj
The American-funded Free Channel, which openly acknowledges on its website that it is funded by the U.S. Congress, published an article on its website four months ago that glorifies Al-Hallaj and defends his statements, stating:
"Al-Hallaj built his spiritual call on comprehensive human foundations, without bias towards any particular religion, gender, or nationality."
It also states: "There are two main issues in Al-Hallaj's thought, which are not absent from any of his statements or poems; the first is the unity of all that exists, and the second is that the only way to perceive this unity is through the annihilation of the individual 'self' or 'ego' in the collective 'self' or 'ego,' or according to Al-Hallaj's term, 'the consumption of human nasut in the divinity of Allah.'"
Conclusion and Warning
Again... this word was not for detailing Sufism and the differences between its factions, for this is not the place for such detail, and we know that Sufis are not all the same.
Rather, our goal is simply to explain why the international system and its followers extract figures like Al-Hallaj from the trash heaps of history, polish them, and make TV series about them. And to explain who the international system supports: those who call for domestication, who deter the establishment of Sharia, who prevent people from resisting the international system of slavery, but rather call for submission to it, and for reconciliation with the Zionist entity.
And we remind you, esteemed ones, if you find this speech beneficial, to share it with your brothers and loved ones so they may know what is intended for them. We ask Allah to empower the Muslims and humiliate the disbelievers and enemies of the religion. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
