Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, dear brothers and sisters,
After publishing the article "Beware of Joking with the Verses of Allah," many brothers engaged with the topic, and many had questions about the ruling and prohibition of mentioning Quranic verses in certain contexts. Therefore, we announce today a course on this topic titled: "No Joking with the Quran."
This course is supervised by the call center of the esteemed scholar Abdullah Al-Kanad, and its scientific material is derived from the book by the esteemed brother Dr. Jamal Al-Basha, titled: "Warning the Negligent About the Danger of Mocking the Religion."
Course Content and Objectives
Emphasizing that the book is not only about the explicit mockery of religion but also addresses the phenomenon of mentioning verses in contexts of jest and ridicule, which many who are presumed to be committed, including scholars of Islamic law and preachers, unfortunately do. The book also covers various common forms of jesting with religion.
In addition to the book, the course will include visual materials (lectures) that we will publish in this topic, such as:
- The lecture on jesting regarding the angels, peace be upon them.
- The lecture in which we discuss forms of permissible quotation from the Quran versus the forbidden jesting.
Why Do We Need This Course?
Because the greatest thing with which Allah the Almighty is honored is the glorification of Him, His speech, and His religion. This phenomenon, in particular, has caused great confusion, such that many fall into what contradicts this glorification without realizing it, and some even defend their jesting and mockery, claiming they did not intend to belittle. Others confuse permissible quotations with the impermissible.
We need to address this topic academically, simplifying the evidence and the statements of scholars. This is a great matter that revives your heart, gives meaning to your life, and instills reverence and honor in your heart for what deserves it.
The Impact of Glorifying the Rituals of Allah
Join us so that when you read the Quran afterward, you feel this glorification, reverence, and honor, and you feel happiness and satisfaction with yourself and fulfillment to the Book of Allah if you contribute to its glorification in the hearts of people.
You will feel this as you read His saying: {And the heaven with its rain * And the earth with its crack * Indeed, it is a decisive statement * And it is not a jest.} And when you read His saying: {And whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah, it is better for him with his Lord}; you will feel that you are among the people of this verse, and you will await goodness from your Lord on the day you meet Him.

- Study Method: Participants will receive daily material to read, followed by a test after five days.

- Certificates: Those who pass the course will receive a certificate from the call center of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Kanad, including an ijaza in the book from the author, Dr. Jamal Al-Basha.
