The Issue of Coercion, Dependence, and the Contemporary Reality
We are always told that we are "coerced," that America is the one coercing us. Fine, why are we coerced by America? They say, "Because of the wheat and aid."
If we want to increase our joy and get out of this distress, what do we do? We plant wheat and provide for ourselves, so there is no need for false appearances like palaces and secondary concerns.
The Concept of Coercion Among Jurists and Political Reality
Jurists say that the coerced person is one who uttered a word of disbelief while having the ability to use paraphrases (tawriya) to preserve his religion, so are these people really coerced?
They say, "We are coerced not to plant wheat," and this is illogical talk. You claim that you are coerced, and based on that, you claim that you are coerced not to apply the Sharia, and you coerce people to follow positive laws. If a person does not follow the positive law, your employees will impose sanctions on him. Where is the coercion here when you are exercising authority?
You are responsible for not applying the Sharia, and it is supposed that you follow a path that frees you from this coercion, such as planting wheat to achieve our independence. But am I also coercing you to change the educational curricula?
Targeting Consciousness and Changing Curricula
They want to erase everything related to Islam from education, even simple supplications like "All praise is due to Allah who has removed from me harm and granted me well-being" after leaving the restroom. Why? Because this leads to "changing consciousness."
They insist that things do not return to what they were, and they claim that they are also coerced into this! They proceed on this path until we reach the point of considering "terrorists" those who hold onto the truth.
Throughout history, the people of truth in all parts of the world have represented a certain area, even during the height of the Rightly Guided Caliphate. How many Muslims were there compared to the area of the land? If you cannot honor something, then do not do it. The Quran came to distinguish between truth and falsehood, so if the disbelievers take over, Muslims must re-establish the Sharia of Allah, the Almighty.
The Legal Constraints of Necessity
I say this so that no one who holds onto the truth is called a "radical." The Quran set a rule for the one who is compelled:
{But whoever is forced [to sin] without wilful disobedience nor transgressing [boundaries], then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.} (Quran 2:173)
The one who is compelled in the Sharia is not the one who eats, enjoys, and hoards money, but the one who takes only what is necessary to ward off death. Anything beyond this necessity is a sin. So, the one who claims to be "coerced" while expanding in violations, his words are rejected.
Dependence and the Dangers of Nuclear Waste
Look at what some people do, such as what was said about introducing nuclear waste and burying it in the land of Egypt. Egypt, which is the cradle of religions and a civilization seven thousand years old, how can it be allowed that the waste of the disbelievers and nuclear waste be buried in it? Then someone comes and says, "I am coerced!"
No, but Allah, the Almighty, will hold you accountable, and remember His saying:
{And do not argue on behalf of those who betray themselves. Indeed, Allah does not like anyone who is a traitor and a sinner. They conceal themselves from the people but they do not conceal themselves from Allah, and He is with them when they [devise] at night what He does not approve of in speech. And Allah is, of what they do, encompassing.} (Quran 4:107-108)
Our Lord is watching them and bearing witness to them, then He, the Almighty, says:
{Here you are, those who argued on their behalf in the worldly life. But who will argue with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection? Or who will be a guardian over them?} (Quran 4:109)
