Clarification for Everything - Episode 16
Parts 21 and 22
Parts 21 and 22
In the name of Allah, all praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings, and welcome to you in the sixteenth episode of the competition "Explaining Everything."
We begin with the permission of Allah, and with us today are eight questions from the twenty-first and twenty-second parts. Before we start, there is good news; some brothers have prepared a distinguished platform to receive and sort the answers accurately to ensure the knowledge of the first and second respondents from various platforms (Facebook and YouTube), and we will put the link for it in the coming times, God willing.
Question: Two verses from today's parts, the Prophet (peace be upon him) explained two verses from Surah Al-An'am with them. Mention the two verses from today's parts.
Answer: The first verse from Surah Luqman (Part 21): {And remember when Luqman said to his son while advising him, "O my son, do not associate anything with Allah. Indeed, associating others with Him is a great injustice."} This verse explained Allah's saying in Surah Al-An'am: {Those who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice}; where the Companions feared and thought it was self-injustice, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) reassured them that the intended meaning is shirk.
The second verse from Surah Luqman as well: {Indeed, Allah has with Him the knowledge of the Hour and He sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs...} the verse. And this explained Allah's saying in Surah Al-An'am: {And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him}; where the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The keys of the unseen are five, none knows them except Allah," then he recited the verse of Surah Luqman.
Question: Contemplation of Allah's creation is an abandoned worship, there are six words that explain this meaning in the context of the verses, mention them.
Answer: The words are: {Only those of His slaves who have knowledge fear Allah}. These words came in Surah Fatir after mentioning Allah's cosmic signs of sending down water, bringing forth fruits, and the differences in colors of mountains, people, and animals, indicating that knowledge of Allah's cosmic signs and contemplation of them begets fear of Allah and His glorification.
Question: Allah mentions the change of human conditions to know that he was created for another abode that does not change, mention a verse that indicates this meaning.
Answer: There are two verses; the first in Surah Ar-Rum: {Allah is He Who created you in weakness, then gave you strength after weakness, then after strength He will make you weak and old...}. And the second (which is more comprehensive in the context of the question): {And whoever We grant long life, We reverse in creation. Do they not understand?} (Surah Ya-Seen). Ibn Kathir said the intended meaning is to inform that this abode is an abode of passing and transition, and to know that they were created for another abode that has no passing.
Question: Mention a verse that indicates that the bodies of the prophets, peace be upon them, are not affected by death as the bodies of other humans are.
Answer: Allah's saying in Surah Saba: {But when We decreed for him death, nothing indicated to them his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. Then when he fell, it became clear to the jinn...}. The verse refers to the death of Sulayman, peace be upon him, and his remaining for a period of time in his form without his body changing, which is confirmed by the noble hadith: "Indeed, Allah has forbidden the earth to eat the bodies of the prophets."
Question: Perceiving Allah's blessing upon you and acting according to this perception is the basis of wisdom, mention a verse that carries this meaning.
Answer: Allah's saying: {And certainly, We bestowed upon Luqman wisdom, saying, "Give thanks to Allah."} For the beginning of wisdom is gratitude, and as Ibn Ashur said: "The first thing Luqman taught him of wisdom was wisdom in himself by commanding him to be grateful to Allah," and this is the essence of wisdom.
Question: A noble verse that expressed an action indicating that the people of beneficial knowledge are certain of the truth of revelation as they are certain of the sensible things, mention the word indicating that.
Answer: The word is: {And He sees}. In Allah's saying: {And those who have been given knowledge see that what has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth.} He expressed it with "sees" instead of "knows" to emphasize that their knowledge is certain like seeing with the eye.
Question: Man is not free from two conditions, and the Quran mentions two opposing qualities (in the form of emphasis) that man should possess in facing these two conditions, what are they?
Answer: The two qualities are: {Patient and grateful}. Mentioned in Allah's saying: {Indeed, in that are signs for every patient and grateful person.} For man is either in a trial and needs patience, or in a blessing and needs gratitude.
Question: In the sacred hadith: "By My might, I do not gather for My servant two securities nor two fears..." mention a verse from Surah At-Tur that carries this meaning.
Answer: Allah's saying: {They said, "Indeed, we were before in our people in fear * So Allah bestowed upon us and protected us from the punishment of the scorching wind."} And the fearful are those who fear the punishment of Allah in this world, so Allah secured them on the Day of Judgment.
Thank you for your good follow-up and interaction, and we ask Allah to make this information in the scale of our good deeds. As Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "It is the right of one who knows something that he should thank those who learn from him," so may Allah reward you well, and peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Based on your request to continue, and since the original text has been fully covered in the previous response with clean formatting for all eight questions along with its introduction and conclusion, I will here rephrase and proofread the concluding paragraph and the side notes that appeared at the end of the broadcast to ensure their documentation as part of the educational archive of the episode:
The Sheikh mentioned at the end of the episode the importance of the new platform prepared by the volunteer brothers, explaining the following advantages:
The Sheikh concluded the episode with an educational note quoted from Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, where he said:
"Indeed, it is the right of one who knows something that he should thank those who learn from him; for he was a means of conducting the reward on his hands by the permission of Allah, the Most High."
With this, we have completed the transcription and formatting of the sixteenth episode of the competition "Explaining Everything" in full.
