In the name of Allah, all praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings, and may Allah greet you in this new session of the "Tbayyanan for Everything" competition. We apologize for the slight delay due to technical issues.
Today we have ten questions, all from today's parts: the thirteenth and fourteenth, so the competition today may be easier. The policy we will follow, God willing, is to take the first winner from YouTube and the first winner from Facebook; due to complaints about the delay in broadcasting on Facebook compared to YouTube by several seconds.
Question: You spoke in the local dialect to bring a concept closer to people, knowing that they would not understand it otherwise, and your friend rebuked you for this, saying that it violates the preservation of the pure language. Mention a part of a verse (nine words) with which you can respond to him.
Answer: The saying of Allah the Almighty: "And We did not send any messenger except with the language of his people that he may make clear to them."
Comment: The truth is that the balance is sometimes delicate and not easy between preserving the Arabic language and spreading it, and understanding the people. Therefore, we try to use the pure language with some simplification and bringing the words closer to the listeners. We always need to balance between bringing concepts closer and preserving the language. Winners: Sister Afnan Muhammad (from Gaza) and Sister Umm Allah (from Morocco).
Question: One of the methods of the people of falsehood is that they speak about opposing their sanctities as an accusation taken for granted without discussion, escaping the questioning of the validity of what they have sanctified. Mention seven words from a verse that point to this meaning from today's parts.
Answer: The saying of Allah the Exalted, narrating about the disbelievers: "You want to divert us from what our fathers used to worship."
Comment: They mention "diversion from what the fathers worshipped" as an accusation in itself, without discussing whether the fathers were right or wrong. They present the accusation as if it is taken for granted, while the correct question is: Were your fathers on the right path originally? Winners: Abu Muawiyah Al-Shami and Brother Nabti.
Question: Among the fruits of knowing the truth and following it is your certainty that when Allah has guided you to it, He intended good for you, so He will manage your affairs and make your end good whenever you resort to Him. Mention a part of a verse that indicates this.
Answer: The saying of the messengers: "And what prevents us from relying on Allah while He has guided us to our paths?"
Comment: The source of the messengers' tranquility and certainty in reliance is that Allah the Almighty has guided them to the paths of righteousness, and this is a motivator and a source of confidence that Allah will suffice them and make their end good. Winners: Asma Shahin and Duaa Badr.
Question: You often find people relying on worldly causes, thinking they bring security, and these may be what angers Allah, so He makes their end come from the very direction they thought was a cause of security. Mention the beginning of a verse that indicates this meaning.
Answer: His saying, may He be exalted: "Those before them had plotted, so Allah came to their building from its foundations, and the roof fell upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive."
Comment: The verse depicts a scene of people fortified in a fortress, then the very ground they rely on shakes and collapses, and the roof they sought refuge in falls upon them. Thus, those who rely on material forces, thinking they are their source of security, may make Allah their end come through them. Winners: Afnan Muhammad, Duaa Rajab, and Usama.
Question: In the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim: "Whoever sets a bad precedent in Islam will bear its burden and the burden of those who act upon it afterward..." Mention the beginning of a verse from today's parts that indicates the same meaning.
Answer: His saying, may He be exalted: "That they may bear their burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Oh, what a burden they will bear!"
Comment: This verse warns that whoever breaks a legal barrier or sets a bad precedent (such as an un-Islamic hijab or others) should fear bearing the burdens of those who imitate him, and this is a great sin. We ask Allah for forgiveness and safety. Winners: Walid Abu Huntsh and Azz Arouba.
Question: Four words from a verse that clarify that Allah has undertaken to clarify the straight path leading to Him.
Answer: His saying, may He be exalted: "And upon Allah is the direction of the path."
Comment: After mentioning Allah's subjugation of animals for the paths of the world (horses, mules, and donkeys), He spoke about the spiritual path leading to Him. The meaning of "directing the path" is the straight path, and Allah has undertaken to clarify it, and among the paths is what is "transgressing," meaning deviating from the straight path. Winners: Shadha Khisawna, Ahmed Jalal, Abu Islam, and Fly High.
Question: The more a servant's belief in meeting his Lord increases, the more his forgiveness and tolerance increase, and the less his victory for himself. Those preoccupied with the Hereafter have no time for enmities and hatred. Mention six words from a verse that remind you of this meaning.
Answer: His saying, may He be exalted: "So pardon with a gracious pardon. Indeed, the Hour is coming."
Comment: This meaning is quoted from a remark by Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Tarifi - may Allah release him -; the Hour is coming, and there is no time for quarrels, grudges, and envy. Forgiveness is praiseworthy when the wrongdoer acknowledges his sin or remains silent, but if he persists, increasing forgiveness worsens the situation. Forgiveness is then secondary to self-victory. Also, forgiveness of the occupying enemies is not praiseworthy but rather humiliation. Winners: Wasim Sanduq and Muhammad Al-Bataeineh.
Question: Mention a part of a verse that may be misunderstood regarding a prophet of Allah, while in reality, it is a call to purity and distancing from indecency.
Answer: His saying, may He be exalted: "These are my daughters, if you must act."
Comment: It is not appropriate to imagine a wrong understanding regarding Allah's prophet Lut, peace be upon him, that he orders a lesser indecency (adultery) instead of a greater indecency (homosexuality). The correct meaning of the verse is one of two things: either he means "my daughters," meaning the women of his people, as the prophet is like a father to his nation, or he means his daughters from his loins to marry them lawfully. The evidence is his saying in another verse: "They are purer for you," meaning he guides them to purity, not from one indecency to another. Winners: Dhuha Hishlamun and Muhammad Bataeineh.
Question: Addiction to sins may make its owner dare to commit major sins openly without shame. Mention a verse (nine words) that indicates this meaning from the eleventh and twelfth parts.
Answer: His saying, may He be exalted: "And his people came to him, hastening toward him, and before that, they used to do evil deeds."
Comment: They came hastily, boldly, without a hint of shame, to commit indecency openly and collectively. The continuation of the verse "And before that, they used to do evil deeds" indicates that their habit of minor and repeated evil deeds brought them to this ugly stage of openly committing major sins. This frightens a person that his heart may deviate and his vision may be dimmed due to addiction to sins. Winner: Muhammad Saif.
With this, we have completed today's questions, which were relatively easy. We will meet you again the day after tomorrow, God willing. I reiterate once again that the brothers in the supervisory committee participate in formulating the questions, may God reward them for their goodness. May God bless you, and peace be upon you, and the mercy of God.
