Introduction: The Challenge of Effective Delivery in the Medical Field
Peace be upon you and the mercy of God and His blessings.
You must have attended lectures at the university and outside that were like a sedative, and you wished you had attended them in your bed to get rid of insomnia! I personally attended lectures that reminded me of a "Tom and Jerry" episode we watched when we were young, where not even a barrel of coffee could keep me awake.
Will you repeat the same mistake that might cost you job opportunities? Or deprive people of benefiting from your information and skills? Will your students lose attention early and start fidgeting? You may have valuable content, but you present it in an ineffective way, like putting a beneficial medicine in an indigestible capsule.
Perhaps you have put in 98% of the effort into conducting research or extracting information, but these remaining 2%, represented by preparing a good presentation, may be the decisive factor in determining whether the audience will benefit and enjoy, or whether the lecture will just be a means of falling asleep.
About the Course and the Trainer
For this reason, our course is titled: "How to Present Medical Content Successfully". In it, I employ my experience of more than twenty years as an academic, during which I taught courses in "pharmacology" (the science of drugs), therapeutics, and pharmacokinetics. In addition to awareness activities through lectures and video series, such as the "Medical Benefits" series, which has received millions of views by the grace of God the Almighty. I was also one of three reviewers for the most widely circulated pharmacology books in the world.
Our course will be in Arabic, with the use of some English terms and their translation into Arabic as well. I will present it to you through the leading platform in four live online sessions, including interaction with the audience, questions, and practical applications, God willing.
Course Topics
In this course, we will cover everything you need to deliver a successful presentation from a technical standpoint, by discussing:
- Defining the target audience.
- Determining the desired benefit.
- Formulating the scientific content of the lecture.
- Designing the slides.
- Presentation and interaction skills.
We will present these topics in the form of specific and clear points, for you to take as a reference (checklist) to refer back to from now on, and to ensure the effectiveness of your lectures through it. It will not be just theoretical points, but will be accompanied by practical applications and real examples from the medical and therapeutic fields.
Target Audience
This course is designed for:
- University professors in health sciences (medicine, pharmacy, etc.).
- Doctors and medical and health students who are required to give lectures.
- Medical content creators aiming to publish on social media platforms.
Even if you are skilled in presentation, you will find new and useful skills in our course, God willing. We look forward to seeing you there, and peace be upon you and the mercy of God and His blessings.
