Peace be upon you, brothers. We need to clarify; our words are praise for our sister's stance in speaking the truth with great Islamic motivations, good reliance on God, and prioritizing the Hereafter over this world - as we see it.
Not everyone we speak about a righteous and truthful stance of a Muslim should bring us other matters that need separate discussion. Then we enter into a debate that inflames the hearts and wastes the benefit, instead of uniting the hearts on the good that we agree upon.
We can praise this good in her with ease and call for emulating her in this good. I personally was affected when I listened to her interview, and I consider that I learned from our dear sister a profound lesson.
This does not necessarily mean that we consider her a role model in everything, nor am I a role model in everything, nor are you; the absolute role model is the Messenger of God, peace be upon him and his family and companions.
