Expected Scenarios for the Military Council's Dealings with Islamic Forces
In the horizon - and God knows best - there are two possibilities for the military council, and behind it the Western powers, to deal with the president and Islamic parties in the next phase:
First Possibility: Conditional Powers Based on Political Compliance
The first possibility, which we see as the weaker of the two, is that these powers will condition the powers given to the president and Islamic parties that will engage in democratic work in the next phase on the readiness of these parties to play a role in aligning the country with international policies and combating "radical Islam," as they call it; that is, they want to strike the currents affiliated with Islamic work against each other.
However, our conviction that this is what our enemies want from us does not mean that we should execute it, nor does it mean that the rejecters of democracy should engage in a material conflict with its supporters. Rather, the owners of the pure methodology should work to deprive the conspirators from the Western powers and their agents inside and outside of the opportunity. They should avoid confronting the Islamic parties and not aid the conspirators and the devil against these parties by provoking them, which would lead them into the trap and to adopt justifications to strike them. Even if harm befalls the owners of the pure methodology from the Islamic parties, we used to say in the days of the criminal regimes that were hostile to religion with open enmity: that the callers must bear the harm and not engage in actions that tarnish the image of the call and ruin it in its cradle. Patience in this regard with the mistakes and provocations of the Islamic parties is more appropriate, and it is more befitting for the pure ones in these parties to return to their senses and refuse to execute the plans of their enemies.
Therefore, confrontation with the Islamic parties is never an option, and we emphasize in all of this the necessity of continuing to clarify the correct methodology and clarify the misguidance and corruption of the path of democracy and concessions with a scientific clarification aimed at the good of the opponent, and it should be overcome by the language: "I am to you a sincere and trustworthy advisor."
Second Possibility: Islamic Presidency as a Cover for Military Policies
The second possibility, which is more likely; is that the military council wanted to return the country to the eras of oppression and compliance with the West, and the plundering of resources and combating the growing "radical Islam," but it saw this task difficult in the face of the Egyptian people's rejection of injustice after the revolution. So, it saw that the best way is to leave the Islamic candidate to reach the presidency after a tug of war and manipulation by the military and media defamation, which made the people feel that the decisive battle that determines the winner from the loser is: who will be the president?
And now, after the Islamic candidate elected by the people and representing their will in a legitimate way - according to their terms - has arrived, a sense of reassurance will spread about the course of affairs in the country as long as the elected president sits on the presidential chair. Here, the military begins to implement its policies and premeditated plans, taking advantage of the state of "numbness" and the false euphoria of victory that has affected the general public, and taking advantage of the stripping of the president's powers.
If the military fights "radical Islam" - as they call it - or fights the growing strong call, it will be difficult to object to it; because its answer at that time will be ready: "We are not fighting Islam but extremism, otherwise the president himself is Islamic and we allowed him to reach the presidency." And when the military continues its policy of plundering the country's resources, tightening the noose on Gaza, pumping gas to the Zionist entity, and making the Egyptian economy subordinate to the American economy; all these policies will be executed under the cover of an Islamic presidency.
We will not expect the powerless president at that time to do more than issue resonant statements of condemnation and denunciation, and perhaps he will also go out with the people in marches demanding the cessation of the military's excesses!
Consequences of Accepting the Corrupt System
Therefore, we have said and we still say and will say: that the acceptance of Islamists with the presidency in this corrupt system - in addition to the dangerous doctrinal pitfalls - one of its worst consequences is the legitimization of this corrupt system that does not want good for the country and the servants, but rather wants to consolidate its pillars and take the Islamists as a "fig leaf" to cover its nakedness.
And he has prepared for this trap well with several steps, including:
- Exhausting the energies of the people and the Islamists in the theatrics of parliaments and elections.
- Cutting the illusory lifelines one after another (by disqualifying some candidates, dissolving the parliament, and canceling the constitutional foundation) so that the people feel that the arrival of the Islamic candidate to the presidency is the last lifeline, so the people will not revolt against the military no matter how much it corrupts the earth after that lest this "achievement" be lost.
- Accustoming the Islamists to silence about injustice to preserve the illusory gains, as we saw in the events of Muhammad Mahmud and Abbasiyah; where the military council was carrying out these massacres and calling the parties to meet, so the parties did not act more than condemnation and denunciation.
This great corruption - the corruption of covering the ugly face of falsehood with an Islamic mask - is greater than all the alleged interests that can be achieved. And we fear that the president's Fajr prayer in the mosque, his memorization of the Quran, and his renunciation of his salary; may all become additional adornments to this mask. And this is the price of accepting to work within a system of falsehood instead of distinguishing oneself from it. And the Islamic peoples who follow their emotions and seek any illusory victory, overlook all of this and imagine that the military simply succumbed to their will, and there is no power except with Allah.
Conclusion: The Necessity of Repentance from Abandoning the Sharia
This is the most likely scenario for us in the foreseeable future and God knows best. However, we reiterate that the cunning of the enemies of Islam should not be our greatest concern, but what we fear is the loss of God's companionship.
There is a sin that we have forgotten and we must pay for it, and it is the sin of "abandoning the Sharia" and the series of concessions. I see this sin has been forgotten in the midst of celebrating the victory of the new president, but I repeat and emphasize: we, the Islamists, have not repented from this sin, but most of us are still following the mirage of democracy and elections that have only increased our loss of the Sharia and forgetfulness of it.
So, will we review our accounts and look into our negligence during the past year and a half? And know that abandoning the Sharia is a disgrace that can only be wiped away by its support, and that abandoning the Sharia will never turn into a victory.
