Peace be upon you and the mercy of God. Brothers, one of the concepts that the enemies of Islam have worked hard to tarnish is the concept of Islamic Sharia and the establishment of Sharia. The events we are going through today should make us more reverent, appreciative, and honorable of God's Sharia, thirsty for it, and striving to establish it.
The beginning of the journey is to love the thing, be convinced of it, and believe in it deeply, so that there are no doubts or suspicions in your heart about its usefulness, importance, and necessity. At that point, if this feeling settles in our hearts and takes over us, we will work, with God's permission, to remove the obstacles to achieving this ambition; the ambition to establish Sharia in the lives of Muslims.
When we look at our reality now and see what is happening in Gaza; our brothers who share our faith, love our Lord and our Prophet peace be upon him, and cry out to us for help and ask for our support, yet we are a nation of a billion and hundreds of millions unable to help them or bring them a drop of water!
Here, you realize the beauty of Sharia and the ugliness of the contemporary civil state under the international system. If you want to know the value and beauty of Sharia in such a place, let us review some verses from Surah Al-Ma'idah.
God, the Most High, says: "Do they seek the judgment of (the days of) ignorance? And who is better in judgment than Allah for a people who have certainty (in faith)?" The lands of the Muslims today live under the rulings of ignorance far from the Sharia of God, the Most High. Who is better than God in judgment? If the rule of God were the one that governs us in the lands of the Muslims, this would not be our condition.
Then He, the Most High, says: "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. Some of them are allies of others. And whoever is an ally to them among you, then indeed, he is one of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people." Then He, the Most High, speaks about the hypocrites: "You see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into them, saying, 'We are afraid of a change of fortune.'"
After two verses, He, the Most High, explains the essence of this Sharia: that we should be "humble among the believers, honorable among the disbelievers, fighting in the cause of Allah and not fearing the blame of blamers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing."
Look how beautiful this picture is! That the Muslims are humble to each other, forgiving and kind to each other, honorable to the disbelievers, breaking the backbone and nose and head of anyone who attacks them, striving in the cause of Allah and not fearing the blame of blamers. O God, grant us this bounty, O Lord, and bless us with the establishment of Sharia in the lands of the Muslims.
Then He concludes the context by saying: "Your ally is none but Allah and [then] the Messenger and those who have believed - those who establish prayer and give zakah, and they bow [in worship]. And whoever is an ally of Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed - then it is the party of Allah that will be the victorious."
In conclusion, dear ones: We must understand the greatness of this Sharia that makes us one body, one hand, honorable, generous, noble, and strong, fearing none but God, the Most High. And we must hate any alternative to it, for who is better in judgment than Allah for a people who have certainty?
Peace be upon you and the mercy of God.
