For Those Who Say Problems Must Be Solved Before Implementing Sharia

Subscribe to the channel. Peace be upon you, O peoples of Islam. Islam has not yet entered the battle in many arenas where so-called Islamic agendas are being advocated. If the Islamists fail in their attempts to save you, do not say, "We tried Islam and it did not work for us." For much of what you see is not a true representation of Islam, and its failure is not the failure of Islam.

Motivations for This Series

What prompted me to start this series is what we hear from some of those who work for Islam, may Allah guide them and us, that if they come to power, they will not enforce the rulings of Sharia all at once, but will gradually implement it. This belief that a person can gradually implement Sharia is something we do not accept for a Muslim to believe, let alone for those who work for Islam to say. Therefore, this is advice to my brothers. I ask Allah the Almighty to guide us to what is right in this and to take us and our advice to the truth.

I ask you to be a companion, and undoubtedly many questions will arise for him, but whatever is raised will usually be answered in other episodes, God willing.

Gradual Implementation of Sharia: A Rejected Argument

I start with the first point: those who advocate for the gradual implementation of Sharia argue that it is necessary to first eradicate poverty, unemployment, corruption, and insecurity. They say: feed the people, provide them with security, and then implement Sharia. This proposition is fraught with wounds and contradictions.

Sharia is the Solution to Society's Problems

First, as Muslims, we believe that poverty, unemployment, and corruption are all results of the absence of Sharia. Allah the Almighty says: {Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of people have earned, that they may taste something of what they have done, so that they may return}.

Among the meanings of corruption, as mentioned by the commentators: scarcity of blessings, difficulty in living, stagnation of goods, and high prices. What is required then to remove this corruption? {Perhaps they will return}, meaning to the Sharia of Allah the Almighty, complete in creed, application, and methodology.

And Allah the Almighty says: {And Allah presents an example: a secure city, to which its provision comes in abundance from every place, but they disbelieved in the favors of Allah, so Allah made them taste the garment of hunger and fear because of what they used to do}. And the absence of the Sharia of Allah the Almighty is from disbelief in His favors.

Consequences of Neglecting Sharia

"Immorality did not appear among a people until they publicized it, except that the plague and diseases that did not afflict their predecessors befell them. And they did not reduce the measure and the scale except that they were taken by the years and the severity of hardship and the injustice of the ruler over them. And they did not prevent the zakat of their wealth except that they prevented the rain from the sky, and were it not for the animals, they would not have been rained upon. And they did not break the covenant of Allah and the covenant of His Messenger except that Allah unleashed their enemies and others upon them, taking some of what was in their hands. And if their leaders did not rule by the Book of Allah the Almighty and did not seek what Allah has revealed, then Allah made their strength among themselves."

Look at the state described in this hadith, all of which are forms of neglecting Sharia:

• The appearance of immorality as a result of neglecting the punishment for adultery and allowing what is called personal freedoms.
• Preventing zakat because the state is not Islamic and does not enforce zakat on those who are obligated to pay it.
• Breaking the covenant of Allah and the covenant of His Messenger, the clearest forms of which are abandoning the comprehensive application of Sharia.
• Then the Prophet, peace be upon him, stated the ruling explicitly and said: "And if their leaders do not rule by the Book of Allah."

All these premises are forms of neglecting Sharia. What are the results? Diseases, the injustice of the ruler meaning dictatorship, prevention of rain, occupation of the country and loss of wealth, that the strength of the Muslims is among themselves.

Keep Sharia neglected until we rid ourselves of poverty, corruption, and insecurity? They want to cure the disease with its cause!

In the hadith "If you pledge by the 'ainah," which we all know, the Prophet, peace be upon him, said at the end: "Allah will place humiliation upon you that He will not remove until you return to your religion." This is the solution, to return to our religion, to return to our Sharia. Otherwise, we will continue to go in a vicious circle, trying to solve our problems with what increases these problems, like the one seeking refuge from the heat in the fire.

The Solution Lies in Establishing the Sharia of Allah

What is the solution? The solution lies in establishing the Sharia of Allah. Allah the Almighty says: {And if the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they denied, so We took them for what they were earning}.

And Allah the Almighty says: {And if the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allah, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them into Gardens of Pleasure. And if they had stood by the Torah and the Gospel and what was revealed to them from their Lord, they would have consumed from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them is a moderate community, but much of their evil is what they do}.

So if we want to eradicate poverty, unemployment, corruption, fear, and chaos, we have no choice but the Sharia of Allah the Almighty. Otherwise, it is a mirage and running after the carrot tied to the stick.
