Episode 6 - Why Is Our Cause Winning?
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Dear brothers, we are still in the series "Supporting the Sharia." In the previous episode, we mentioned the benefits of the hadith of Muadh, may Allah be pleased with him, and today we are with a very important benefit.
The Great Cause: Explaining Servitude to Allah
The follower of these episodes, when he hears that we ask the Islamists not to make concessions on anything from the Sharia, may think that we ask them to go out to the people and say to them: "If we rule you, we will impose the hijab on women, prevent alcohol, cut off the thief's hand, and flog the adulterer."
In reality, we warn our brothers, the owners of the Islamic project, not to be dragged into a discussion of the branches rather than the fundamentals, to be dragged into a discussion of the rulings rather than explaining the creed. We, as owners of an Islamic project, are not tasked now to respond to people's questions to convince them to choose the Sharia.
Our great cause now is to explain to people that they are servants of Allah alone, that they have no freedom unless they worship Allah alone, and this servitude is only achieved by applying the Sharia in its comprehensive concept. Our great cause is to explain to people that their Islam is not valid unless they submit to the Sharia of Allah, and that accepting arbitration by other than Allah is major shirk.
Warning Against Being Preoccupied with Branches
If we delve into talking about the details of the Sharia, and defending the Islamic penal system in front of the secularists, for example, if we continue talking about the solutions that the Sharia provides for people's economic and social problems, we will lose this issue of servitude. Because at that time we will appear as a merchant promoting his merchandise and trying to convince customers of its features or defend its flaws.
As if we instill in people the concept that the Sharia is a choice among the options presented, which can be compared with other options based on its worldly advantages. While in reality we should say to people: "Are you not believers in Allah the Almighty? Then you have no choice but His saying: {And it is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter that they should have any choice in their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.}"
O peoples, the Sharia is indispensable and there is no alternative to it.
The Sharia is Not a Commodity for Marketing
We do not sell a commodity that forces us to explain to our customers what is in it so that they buy it in the light, and they do not say later that we deceived them. By calling for the Sharia, we demand that Islamic peoples adhere to the consequences of "There is no god but Allah," which they have proclaimed, and which means satisfaction with Allah the Almighty as Lord, Legislator, and Ruler.
{So exalted is Allah when they describe Him as having partners.}
We are not in a dilemma to defend our proposal, but the one who claims Islam and then rejects the Sharia is the one in the dilemma of duality, hypocrisy, and contradiction.
Understanding from the Hadith of Muadh, may Allah be pleased with him
We understand this benefit from the hadith of Muadh, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, did not instruct Muadh to present the full costs of the Sharia to the people of Yemen to study it as an option and compare it with other options and then accept it or reject it. When the people of Yemen bear witness to the two testimonies, there is nothing but submission and implementation.
Therefore, brothers, an important point: it is not appropriate to use the solutions that the Sharia provides for problems and the welfare that it achieves for societies as a marketing advantage for the Sharia. These are only blessings and gifts that come as a result of the application of the Sharia with sincerity and devotion.
The Real Advantage of the Sharia
The advantage of the Sharia is that it is the religion of Allah the Almighty. {Allah is the one who created you, then provided for you, then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life. Is there any of your partners who does that for you at all? Glory be to Him and exalted is He above what they associate.}
Do the secularists create or provide sustenance or cause death or give life? Do the parliaments do any of that? So how do they legislate?

The Purpose of Applying the Sharia
Here there is a very important matter: if we call for the application of the Sharia on the basis that it solves societal problems and achieves worldly welfare, if people respond to this call and accept the application of the Sharia on this basis, have we achieved the purpose? Never. The purpose of applying the Sharia is servitude to Allah the Almighty. If the peoples choose it for its worldly advantages, then they do not achieve the meaning of servitude.
Again: if the peoples choose to apply the Sharia based on worldly interests and that the Sharia will solve problems and achieve welfare, then the peoples at that time have not achieved the meaning of servitude by applying the Sharia and have not achieved the purpose.
Then, the choice to apply the Sharia sincerely in a country is expected to be followed by a period of sacrifices in front of its enemies in the world, which is a period capable of making those who chose the Sharia for the worldly life backtrack.
Brothers, this is the religion of Allah the Almighty, too great to be displayed on the shelf with others, and to be adjusted to suit the whims of the customers. In this series, I will explain, by the permission of Allah the Almighty, that there is nothing in the Sharia that we are ashamed of, but a part of it in itself is a pride that we raise our heads with. By the permission of Allah, I will explain the beauty of the Islamic penal system and its mercy. The penal system, yes the penal system, but we must know that all this is not what we convince the peoples with.
It is not permissible for us to present this alternative as our marketing advantage to market the Sharia. We compare the Sharia of Allah the Almighty with the lowly ideas of the makers of positive laws. Have you not seen that the sword loses its value if it is said that the sword is sharper than the stick? The advantage of the Sharia is that it is the religion of Allah. {Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He who has sent down to you the Book explained in detail?}
Responding to the Skeptics
Okay, if the skeptic asks you about the penal system, for example: "What do you do with those who violate the Sharia?" Tell him: "Why do they violate it?" The one who asks such a question is a sign of evil intentions, because he wants to violate the rulings of Allah, so why does he violate it in the first place?
Brothers, those who pledged allegiance to the Prophet, peace be upon him, on Islam did not ask him: "What will you do to us if we violate the rulings of the Sharia? Explain to us before we pledge allegiance to you." Because they know that this is a question that is not asked, but it indicates a lack of seriousness in pledging allegiance to Islam.
And we are wanted by the opponents of the Sharia to drown in the responses to the doubts raised about the Sharia, and to be distracted from presenting its greatest advantage, which is that it is the Sharia of Allah, the Creator of man, and the Knower of what is good for him and what reforms him. This is the advantage that makes our cause the only winning one that we should focus on.
The Position of Sharia's Opponents
When discussing Sharia as a system that Islamic peoples should adhere to, we must be careful not to be preoccupied with defending the details of Sharia against objections. One might say, "But the opponents of Sharia will then accuse us of hiding a secret agenda."
Beloved ones, the opponents of Sharia will not be satisfied with us unless we follow their creed. If we refuse to be preoccupied with responses and focus on servitude, they will say, "Secret agenda." The one who responds to objections will be argued with in such a way that the cause of servitude is lost. The one who promises to respect their wishes upon taking power will be accused of harboring treachery, claiming to respect the rules of the democratic game but will turn against it if possible. They will not be satisfied with anyone unless they follow their creed. Let us adhere to the truth so that we may gain the company of Allah, the Exalted.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this episode: Sharia is not an option to be compared with conventional systems, and its distinctive feature is that it is the religion of Allah, our Creator, Provider, Giver of life, and Giver of death.
