Episode 8 - The Three Men and Applying Shariah
The Three Men and the Application of Sharia
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, dear brothers, I am pleased to meet you again in the series "Support for Sharia".
Introduction: The Scenario of the Fire and the Three Men
Imagine with me three men who returned to their homes and found fire in them, and the situation in each of the three houses is as follows:
The water in the garden is little, while those who set the fire supply it with fuel to increase its ignition. The neighbors do not want to help. The fire has reached the children's room, and they are besieged in it, and the wife is almost suffocating from the smoke. And the fire is on its way to the closet that contains the lifetime savings.
Each of the three men was stunned, he does not know what to do. Does he start putting out the fire? And which fire does he extinguish with the little water? Or does he busy himself fighting those who pour fuel on the fire? Or with rescuing his wife? Or by taking his children out of their room? Or by saving the lifetime savings? Or by convincing his harsh neighbors and pleading with them to lend a hand to his aid?
Here, each man of the three acted in a different way.
The First Man: The Important and the Less Important
The first one saw his wife suffocating in her last breath, he took her out of the house to rescue her with her home clothes, and the men around him watched her. He also left the fire to consume the closet that contains the lifetime savings; because he was busy taking his children out who were besieged by the fire.
Is this first one wrong? No, of course not, he is not wrong. He was busy with the most important then the less important, so he preserved his wife's life before covering her, and he preserved his children's lives before preserving money.
The Second Man: Busying Oneself with What is Not the Duty of the Time
The second one busied himself with extinguishing the fire heading towards his money closet, and left his suffocating wife and his besieged children. Then he prayed two voluntary rak'ahs and prolonged the prostration, and supplicated to Allah to extinguish the fire with a miracle from Him.
Is this man wrong? Of course, he is wrong; because he busied himself with preserving money over preserving life. And although prayer is the most beloved of good deeds to Allah, in this case, it distracted him from the duty of the time which it is not permissible to be distracted from, which is saving his wife and children. It is not permissible for him to pray in this case.
The Third Man: Bargaining and Compromising
The third one's wife was originally a smoker, and his children wasted their time on computer games, and his neighbors hated him because he did not allow them to hold dancing, singing, and drinking parties in his house. And now the gang that pours fuel on the fire demands that he lend them his wife for one night.
So before entering the house, he called his wife and said to her: "O my wife, cooperate with me in saving yourself, and I promise you that I will not prevent you from smoking."
"O my children, allow me to help you, and I promise you to allow you to play on the computer as you wish."
"O my neighbors, come and help me extinguish the fire, and I will give you a copy of the house key to do in it as you wish."
"O you, the gang that sets the fire, stop, and I will study the matter of lending my wife to you for one night."
What do you think of the behavior of this third man?
Application of Sharia: The First Man as a Role Model
What is meant by the first, second, and third man? Let us start today with the first one.
What we demand from any Islamists who can rule a country of the Muslims one day is that they be like the first man. When Islamists take over the rule of a country one day, they will have a huge amount of responsibilities: resisting the external enemy, suppressing the opponents of Sharia from the secularists, hypocrites, and agents, eradicating internal seditions and disputes, building a strong Islamic economic system, abolishing contracts contrary to Sharia, stopping the dealing of usury, raising the army with a faith-based upbringing and changing its corrupt leadership, manufacturing weapons and preparing for war, establishing a judicial system that rules by Sharia, feeding the hungry, providing treatment, preventing monopoly, bribery, and fraud, providing jobs for the unemployed, eradicating alcohol, drugs, and hashish, preventing mixing in places of education and work, spreading a generally clean atmosphere where desires are not aroused, reformulating educational curricula and media in a correct Islamic way, stopping crimes, establishing an Islamic penal system for violators, returning the plundered properties that were plundered by the corrupt class to the society, teaching people what they need in their religion and worldly life, and much more.
All this is included in the term application of Sharia, all this is from the application of Sharia. Can any Islamic system do all this at once and on the first day of taking over the rule? Of course not.
What is required of him? This is what we will know in the next episode, God willing.
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
