Introduction: On Describing Hassan Nasrallah as a Martyr

Since the topic of Hassan Nasrallah has resurfaced following statements by some leaders in the resistance, we would like to say that regardless of the reasons of these leaders to describe Hassan Nasrallah as a martyr and that he has honorable stances, it is our duty to clarify to people that it is not valid to name Hassan Nasrallah as a martyr in any case.

He is a misguided leader in faith, a leader of rebellion against Muslims, and an arm of the Safavid project that has caused Muslims misery and still does, and Hassan Nasrallah died upon that.

The Concept of Martyrdom in Islam: Lessons from the Prophet's Sunnah

In the hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim about the conquest of Khaybar: that a slave named Mad'am was struck by an arrow while he was taking the Prophet's peace be upon him luggage, and he died. The people said: Congratulations to him for martyrdom. The Prophet peace be upon him said: "Rather, by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the cloak that he took from the spoils of Khaybar before they were divided among the Muslims will burn him with fire."

This man took a cloak before the spoils were divided among the Muslims, and this is from the forbidden greed. The Messenger peace be upon him informed that because of that, this cloak will burn him with fire. So a man came with a shoelace or two, meaning a part of a sandal that is worn on the foot, and said: This is something that I took. The Prophet peace be upon him said: "A shoelace or two shoelaces from fire."

This, my brothers, is for someone who took a cloak or a part of a sandal, so how about someone who killed Muslims in Syria, massacred them, seized their land, and enabled their torture and violation of their honor?

Distorting Islamic Terms and the Danger of Limiting Loyalty and Disavowal

It is very dangerous, dear people, that loyalty and disavowal are limited to Palestine, for the blood of the Syrian, Iraqi, and Yemeni Muslim is equal to the blood of the Palestinian Muslim. The blood of Muslims is equal. And if we start to glorify those who claim to support Palestine, right or wrong, even if they are infidels or leaders of misguidance, and if Shireen Abu Aqla becomes a martyr, and Hassan Nasrallah becomes a martyr, and Qasem Soleimani becomes a martyr, is this the Islam in which loyalty is upon monotheism and brotherhood in Allah among all Muslims?

I say this while I am from Palestine, and we have memories and stolen properties, and others that we cannot reach, and in Palestine, I have relatives whom I long for and cannot visit.

Evaluating the Stances of Hassan Nasrallah and His Party in the Conflict

It is also wrong to glorify the stances of Hassan Nasrallah and his party. The reality is that they betrayed the Al-Aqsa Flood and remained in their place for a whole year, content with statements, threats, and movements that do not cause real harm to the Zionists, and they did not enter the battle with weight until they were struck in their den in the Eliyahu incident, then their infiltrated leaders were killed, and when they wanted to avenge themselves, the time had passed and they struck in vain, so they were cowardly to enter the fray from the beginning until it was their turn, and this is not heroic in any way.

If their stance was less shameful and treacherous than the stances of the leaders, this does not mean that it is an honorable stance. The honorable heroic stance is fighting in the cause of Allah so that the word of Allah is superior, this is the acceptable jihad that makes one who dies in it a true martyr. And if a Sunni Muslim fights for other than this, then his fighting is not considered jihad, so how about the party of Iran in Lebanon that fought in Syria so that the word of the Iranian project and its tail is superior? It is neither in the cause of Allah nor are their killers martyrs.

Responding to Doubts and Affirming the Duty of Support

And we here, dear people, do not want to focus on the statements of the resistance leadership, for it is among the most obligatory duties upon us to clarify the obligation of supporting those who fight the enemies of Allah, but we say briefly: we are not among those who close the doors of Islamic politics, and we are not isolated from reality, and we do not deny that a Muslim may thank those who help him regardless of the motives of this help, but it is not valid to open the door to distorting Islamic terms and the concept of martyrdom in the cause of Allah, nor to deceive people in their religion while they are already deceived.

And we know that those with the distorted cylinders will say: And what have you done? We have done that we have not involved ourselves in the blood of Muslims in Syria or elsewhere, and we have supported our brothers in Gaza and their resistance with what we can from our constraints and restrictions, and if we fall short, we ask Allah the Almighty to compensate for our shortcoming and help us to support them in a way that pleases Him.

And it is very important that it be known after this that these statements, even though we deny them, do not justify our inaction in supporting our brothers in Gaza, Lebanon, and everywhere. And it is not permissible for the slaves of the sultans to rejoice in these statements and use them to justify the conspiracy of their masters and their allegiance to the enemies of Allah. We do not approve of the mistake, but the duty of supporting our brothers in every country remains upon us.

Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
