NASA's Photography or NASA's Creation?
Did NASA Capture the Cosmos or Create It?
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, dear audience. The American space agency NASA has published captivating images of what it claims are the deepest images of the universe ever captured. These images reveal a glimpse of the grandeur of the cosmos around us.
Cosmic Signs Between Faith and Disbelief
It is noteworthy that these very images increase the faith of believers and deepen the ignorance and disbelief of those infatuated with the West. This is the case with the visible cosmic signs, just as it is with the hidden signs.
Allah the Almighty says about the hypocrites: {And when a surah is revealed, among them is he who says, "Which of you has this increased in faith?" As for those who believed, it has increased them in faith, and they rejoice. But as for those in whose hearts is disease, it has increased them in impurity and in their impurity they will remain, and they will die while they are disbelievers.}
Does this mean that the evidence itself is neutral, such that it can point to Allah and can also point to the denial of Allah? Of course not. Rather, it means that all cosmic signs point to Allah, benefiting those whose nature, mind, and heart are sound. But if a person's nature, mind, and heart are corrupted, he is like the blind for whom beautiful images are of no benefit, no matter how much they are shown to him as signs of Allah's greatness, majesty, and power.
The Skeptic and the Infatuated with the West
The skeptic, the psychologically defeated, and the submissive to the West speak of these discoveries as if those who captured them are the ones who created them. Instead of striving for the advancement of the Islamic nation in science anew, he mocks Muslims with it.
This is despite the fact that the discoverers, those infatuated with them, and all of humanity could not create a single fly, even if they all gathered for it, not a galaxy, nor even a star or a planet.
The Believer's Argument from Cosmic Signs
Meanwhile, the noble Muslim, whenever he sees a new sign like this, says: {Our Lord, You did not create this in vain; glory be to You [far above that claim]! Then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.}
Our Lord, You did not create this in vain; this greatness undoubtedly points to a Lord who is Almighty, Great, All-Knowing, Wise. Glory be to You, our Lord, You are far removed from falsehood and futility. There is no doubt that You created us and created the universe with wisdom. So if we stand before You for judgment, protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
The believer uses these signs as evidence of Allah's power to bring the bones back to life when they are decayed, for he knows that this is easier for Allah than creating this vast universe.
Blindness of Insight
He who does not benefit from these signs is blind. The believer, when he sees the greatness of the universe, knows that Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. Allah the Almighty says: {And Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth, that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.}
Then He says immediately after: {Have you then considered him who has taken his desire as his god, and Allah has sent him astray knowingly, and sealed his hearing and his heart and put a covering on his sight? Then who will guide him after Allah? Will you not then be reminded?}
He who worships his desires and lives for the sake of lusts will not benefit from his knowledge or these great sights. Rather, we marvel at Allah's power, glorified is He, in concealing from them the greatest and clearest of truths, which are His existence, His oneness, and His greatness, such that their knowledge does not benefit them.
The Creator and the Created
{Or were they created from nothing, or are they the creators?} Or they are the creators and created themselves, and no rational person would say this. Or they created the heavens and the earth themselves, and no rational person would say this. So it remains that they are created by a First Cause, a Creator who is not created, needed by everything in the universe, yet needing no one.
Modern Ignorance
Modern ignorance has not only corrupted people's moral nature and made moral Islamic principles a matter of doubt and discussion, but it has also imposed the filthiest of vices as a norm and said of those who reject them: {Expel them from your city. Indeed, they are people who purify themselves.}
Modern ignorance has also corrupted people's intellectual nature and the clear indication of reason and innate nature regarding the existence and greatness of Allah.
Conclusion and Advice
In conclusion, we advise you, dear audience, to review an episode from the Journey of Certainty titled "Can the Existence of Allah Be Proven Scientifically, or Is Science Neutral?" Remember, the Lord whose greatness, power, and wisdom we see is worthy of being obeyed and not disobeyed, remembered and not forgotten, glorified and not trivialized in His commands, prohibitions, and laws. We ask Allah to guide us and guide us through you. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
