On the Occasion of General Secondary Results
Greetings, with the announcement of the general secondary school results in several countries, we would like to remind our secondary school students, their parents, and friends of some matters.
Introduction: Congratulations and Reminder
For the Successful: Joy Without Sin
Firstly, to the successful students, congratulations on your success. We say, may Allah honor you. Be joyful with your success but without sin, without mixing with the opposite gender, and without posting your pictures, our dear girls, and matters you know that Allah does not like. Keep in mind to be among those whom Allah described as: {And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself} (46:15), and His saying: {Nay! Verily, man does transgress. Because he considers himself self-sufficient} (96:6-7).
Yesterday, you were asking Allah for success. It is shameful that when you succeed, you celebrate with what He has forbidden. It is not logical that you cannot be joyful except by disobeying Allah and forgetting His commands. Our Lord, whose right is to be remembered and not forgotten, and do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves.
Remembrance of Our Brothers in Gaza
We also want to remember our brothers in Gaza, who do not even have secondary schools or food.
Criticism of the Current Educational System
Shortcomings of School Education
Much of what the children receive in Muslim countries is taught in a dry manner that does not develop critical thinking, connection, analysis, or the ability to innovate. This is in addition to the fact that it does not teach them the most important things that make their lives successful religiously and socially, the psychological fragility, and the abysmal failure in family relationships, courtship, and marriage, and the ignorance of the children of Muslims about the evidence of the correctness of their religion, and the ease with which they can be shaken in the major certainties.
All of this indicates that what they receive in schools is not the knowledge that raises Allah's degrees. Does this mean that what the children of Muslims learn in schools is of no use? Yes, but it certainly and undoubtedly does not deserve 12-14 years of their lives, and it is mixed with much that is not beneficial but harmful.
The Impact of the Capitalist System
They are forced to jump over this hurdle to be able to study university specializations, which also have their own problems and major flaws. However, the capitalist system that rules the world makes these stages necessary for making money. This is despite the fact that goodness is often found in getting out of these boxes. However, due to the lack of a mature and clearly defined alternative among the general fathers, they see nothing before them but this tattered system.
True Success and Beneficial Knowledge
Success in Secondary School: A Beginning, Not an End
We are happy that our children pass the general secondary school because that reflects their seriousness in this part of this stage. However, before, during, and after that, we must focus their attention on applying this seriousness in beneficial programs and truly acquiring beneficial knowledge.
If their success in the general secondary school is the beginning of a university life focused on one thing, concerned only with success in the university without balance and without achieving the real successes we mentioned, then this is the beginning of failure.
Horizons of Beneficial Knowledge
We have discussed many of the problems of the educational system and the broad horizons that we need to teach our children in the series of the woman, especially the episode "Just Upbringing," the episode "Schools: Education or Canning," and the episode "Schools: Roots of the Problem and Features of Treatment."
O our dear students, you have broad and vast horizons for beneficial knowledge that are much greater than the academic system.
Conclusion
O parents, give things their appropriate weights and guide your children to balance and giving everyone their due. Peace be upon you.
