In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. Brothers and sisters, may Allah keep you and bless you, and welcome. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
This is the second episode of the "Tabyanan Lekul Shay" competition in its third season. We start by announcing the names of those who answered yesterday's questions:
Today, with the permission of Allah the Almighty, we will continue, and we will inform you at the end of the session of the new date for the competition to suit a larger number of brothers and sisters who complained that the current time is close to the time of iftar and preparing food.
I remind you of the mechanism: I will ask you a question or a meaning, then you answer with the verse that indicates this meaning (whether the full verse or the first words of it). We have brothers Abu Nabil and Abdul Hamid to monitor the answers from the "Restream" platform that combines Facebook and YouTube comments together, to monitor the first correct answer.
The commands of Allah and His legislation contain reasons and rulings that we may understand some of them and may not understand others. The true believer does not link his implementation of Allah's commands to the knowledge of these rulings or understanding them, but rather he hastens to implement the command because Allah is the Commander. This is difficult for those who have a defect in their faith. Mention a verse from today's part (the second part) that carries this meaning.
Winning Answer: Brother Mustafa Muhammad. Answer: The saying of Allah the Most High:
"And We did not make the qiblah which you were upon except that We might know who follows the Messenger from who turns back on his heels. And indeed, it was a great trial except for those whom Allah has guided."
Allah, the Most High, tested the submission of the believers to His command. The believers submitted with certainty in His wisdom, but for those who had sickness in their hearts, it was difficult for them.
The people of desire are not silenced by evidence and proof, but they continue in argumentation and obstruction. In this case, the believer is not to argue with them. Mention a verse from the second part that contains a "disconnected exception" that carries this meaning.
Winning Answer: Sister Mervat Hatib. Answer: The saying of Allah the Most High:
"And from wherever you come out, turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you may be, turn your faces toward it so that the people will not have against you any argument except those of them who are wrongdoers. So fear them not, but fear Me..."
Al-Sa'di, may Allah have mercy on him, said: We have legislated for you the facing of the Ka'bah so that the argument of the People of the Book and the polytheists may be cut off. As for His saying {Except those of them who are wrongdoers}, it is a disconnected exception, meaning: As for those who are wrongdoers, there is no way to convince them because they follow desire and wrongdoing, so do not pay attention to them.
It is mentioned in the hadith that the Prophet peace be upon him said: "The most beloved speech to Allah is that the servant says: 'Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise. Blessed is Your name, and exalted is Your majesty. There is no god but You.' And the most hated speech to Allah is that a man says to another: 'Fear Allah,' and he says: 'Upon yourself.'" Mention a verse that reminds you of this second type that says "Upon yourself" when he is told to fear Allah.
Winning Answer: Brother Lu'ai (LTI). Answer: The saying of Allah the Most High:
"And when it is said to him, 'Fear Allah,' pride seizes him with sin. And sufficient is Hell for him, and wretched is the resting place."
Mention a word from today's part that shows that the effect of religion appears on its possessor.
Winning Answer: Brother Muhammad Al-Dali. Answer: {The color of Allah}. Al-Baghawi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: He named it color because it shows the effect of religion on the religious person as the effect of color shows on the cloth. The original is that the love of Allah and His Messenger should appear on the appearance of the human and his speech.
The Muslim should do things in the easiest way and not burden himself with unnecessary hardship. Mention a verse that indicates this.
Winning Answer: Brother Yusuf Al-Usayri. Answer: The saying of Allah the Most High:
"They ask you about the new moons. Say, 'They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj.' And it is not righteousness that you enter the houses from their roofs, but righteous is he who fears. And enter the houses from their doors..."
In pre-Islamic times, the Ansar, when they would assume ihram, would not enter the houses from their doors. So Allah informed them that this is not righteousness, and that it is appropriate to approach matters from their doors and the easy ways that Allah has legislated.
Man's need for the fear of Allah is greater than his need for food and drink. Mention four words from today's part that carry this meaning.
Winning Answer: Sister Fida Al-Labbadi (from YouTube) and Sister Habib Mahmoud (from Facebook). Answer: {And take provision, for indeed, the best provision is righteousness.} We are in need of cultivating righteousness in the souls so that Allah may look at us with the look of mercy.
Not appreciating a blessing may make the servant ask to move to something below it, and this is one of the reasons for the anger of Allah. Mention a verse from yesterday's part (the first part) that contains this meaning.
Winning Answer: Sister Duaa Ahmad. Answer: The saying of Allah the Most High:
"And [recall] when you said, 'O Moses, we will never endure one [kind of] food.' So pray for us to your Lord that He may bring forth for us of what the earth grows - of its potatoes, its cucumbers, its garlic, its lentils, and its onions.' [Moses] said, 'Would you exchange that which is better for that which is inferior? Go down to any settlement and indeed, you will find what you have been asking for.'"
With this, we have finished today's questions. Tomorrow, with the permission of Allah, we will try to make the questions a bit more difficult so that the competition is stronger.
Regarding the program's time, we have conducted a survey to choose the most suitable time. There are two main options:
I ask everyone to vote now on "The Forum" on YouTube or on the Facebook page, and we will announce the final time soon based on your votes.
May Allah bless you and reward you well. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
