And He said: {And We have sent down to you the Book in truth, confirming what was before it of the Scripture and protecting it}. Islam means submission and surrender to Allah.

The dealing with the people of other religions is legislated by Islam. Allah the Most High said: {And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims}.
