Peace be upon you. Some Muslims feel embarrassed to mention their religious identity; for example, a university professor may hesitate to quote a verse or hadith if he has one or two Christian students, fearing to hurt their feelings by mentioning Islamic religious texts.
Similarly, an employee in a company may feel shy to speak in terms of "halal and haram," assuming that religion has no relation to corporate work. Many Muslims have been misled by the idea that we live in a secular and democratic world, and that it is not appropriate to use religious texts and rulings in fields such as work and teaching, among others.
But let us now listen to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, "Mike Johnson," commenting on the approval of a $26 billion military grant from America to the State of Israel. Let us see what he says:
"I believe many people understand this, and they look forward to it, that the basis in the goals of things... I believe that as believers, we know that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who oppose Israel will be opposed."
These people do not hesitate to show their religious motivations to support falsehood, so how about us? We must have pride in our religion, knowing with certainty that it came with truth and justice.
Peace be upon you.
