Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.

Introduction

Noble people, yesterday a statement was issued regarding the measures being taken in France against Islam and its people. It was signed by hundreds of scholars, callers to Islam, celebrities, businessmen, and academics. It is a noble initiative, by the grace of Allah, that the Muslims unite on a great noble demand of this kind.

The statement clarifies what the Muslim should do regarding these measures, so that he is not passive and negligent in defending his religion, but rather a supporter of Allah, His Messenger, and his religion. We ask you, noble people, to read it and share it among your acquaintances, and to sign it as soon as your name is placed, and that we all adhere to what is stated in it.

The Importance of Defending the Religion

And we remind you of the words of Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, in a great and precious speech, when he said:

What religion and what good is there in one who sees the sacred limits of Allah being violated, His boundaries being transgressed, his religion being abandoned, and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, being shunned, yet he remains cold-hearted, silent, a mute devil, just as the one who speaks with falsehood is a speaking devil. It is enough for his disgrace that those who, when their leadership and food are safe, do not care about what happens to the religion. If their personal interests are touched, they say: "What do you want to do, the eye sees and the hand is short, there is no power nor strength except with Allah." If the matter reaches their personal interests, they give and strive, they find and exert effort, and they use the three levels of denouncement according to their ability and capacity.

When his personal interests are touched, he does not content himself with saying: "What do you want to do, the eye sees and the hand is short, there is no power nor strength except with Allah." If the matter reaches his personal interests, he gives and strives, he finds and exerts effort, and he uses the three levels of denouncement: he denounces with his heart, with his tongue, and with his hand, as long as the matter has become a personal interest.

He said:

And these people, despite their fall from the sight of Allah and Allah's abhorrence of them, have been tested in this world with the greatest trial and they do not feel it.

Not only is Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, displeased with them, but there is also a worldly trial that they do not feel at all, they do not sense it at all. They have been tested in this world with the greatest trial and they do not feel it, and it is the death of the heart. For the heart, the more its life is complete, the stronger its anger for Allah and His Messenger, and the more complete its victory for the religion. For the heart, the more its life is complete, the stronger its anger for Allah and His Messenger, and the more complete its victory for the religion.

Therefore, noble people, so that our hearts do not die, and so that the religion has importance to us, and so that we have importance to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, defend your Lord, your Prophet, and your Messenger, and denounce as much as you can. Read the statement and adhere to what is in it and share it among your acquaintances.

May Allah bless you and accept from us and from you, and peace be upon you.
