Addendum - Episode 56 - Can a Genetic Test Exempt You from Some Verses?
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, dear guests.
Introduction: Attempting to Islamize Evolution
One author wanted to prove that Adam, peace be upon him, evolved from previous creatures, and that the Quran does not oppose this but rather alludes to it.
The Author's Evidence for Evolution
In his proofs for the aforementioned, he came with statements attributed to Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, one of the great Sufis who espoused the heretical doctrine of the unity of existence, and a narration from the Shia attributed to Ja'far al-Sadiq. He quotes the heretic Ibn Arabi as saying that Allah created one hundred thousand Adams, and the Shia narrate that Allah created one million Adams. Okay, so which is it? One hundred thousand, one million, or one billion?
Then the author asserted that the claim that all people trace their lineage to a single father, Adam, is not from the Quran but from the corrupted Torah. Therefore, there is no issue with what the theory of evolution says: that the rational humans present today evolved from their ancestors and are not the offspring of a single man.
Response to the Denial of Human Descent from Adam
The Prophetic Hadiths
So, what do we do with the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "You are all from Adam"? Does it not indicate that all people are the children of Adam?
This author tells you: The Prophet's, peace be upon him, saying "You are all from Adam" does not indicate what is meant; because none of the Chinese, or the Indians of America, or the people of Malacca were among those addressed.
So, what do we do, O esteemed writer, with the hadiths that mention people as the children of Adam? Such as his, peace be upon him, saying in the authentic hadith: "People are the children of Adam, and Allah created Adam from clay."
And what do we do with the authentic hadith: "O people, your Lord is One, and your father is one. There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor of a non-Arab over an Arab, nor of a red over a black, nor of a black over a red, except by piety. The most honorable of you before Allah is the most pious of you."
O people, in this hadith, the Prophet also mentions humans in this hadith by their races and colors: the Arabs and non-Arabs, the red and the black, and says to all of them: "Your father is one, your father is one."
The Quranic Verses
But what do we do with the verses that address people as "O children of Adam"? Your meaning, O esteemed writer, is that these verses are directed to a specific race who are the children of Adam, and not to the other races, such as the Chinese, the Indians of America, and others, even some of the Arabs.
- "O children of Adam, when messengers come to you from among yourselves, recounting to you My verses, then whoever fears and reforms, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve."
- "O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he brought your parents out of Paradise."
- "O children of Adam, take your adornment at every mosque, and eat and drink, but do not be excessive. Indeed, He does not like the excessive."
Imagine all these verses are only for a specific race according to your interpretation, they are the children of Adam!
The Author's Fallacies and Their Implications
So, can you tell us, O esteemed writer, how we can get out of this predicament if a person has both an Adamic gene and a non-Adam gene? Would he then have to adhere to only half of what is mentioned in these verses?
Has intellectual adolescence and the trivialization of the sanctity of the Quran reached this point? That someone would say something that is contradicted by the verses and the authentic hadiths, based on false scientific theories, on the saying of the proponent of the unity of existence, Ibn Arabi, and on a narration without a chain of transmission from the Shia, whose condition in their narrations is known. Knowing that the Shia, in some of their narrations of this alleged tradition, say: "Allah created one million worlds and one million Adams," meaning distributed.
This author, my brothers, despite his obvious extreme ignorance, has been celebrated by some to the point of being quoted, and how many are deceived.
The author concludes his four articles on the subject with fictional phrases, telling you: "And on earth, the humanoids begin to reason little by little by the command of Allah, the transition from Homo erectus to Homo sapiens, to be companions for Adam and partners with him in the cultivation of the earth."
Conclusion and Warning
It seems that the Islamization of the myth of evolution has become a fertile field for writers and novelists like this and others. And I do not rule out that the markets in the coming days will be invaded by their novels in which they release their imaginations and delve into the Quran without knowledge, guidance, or an enlightening book. And Allah is the one sought for help.
Announcement of the Next Episode
In any case, our next episode of the Journey of Certainty, God willing, will be on Saturday next week, about what the Muslim evolutionists use as evidence from the verse. The topic, my brothers, as you notice, is not just about the origin of man, but it is an intrusion into the Quran and a challenge to its sanctity and a distortion of its meanings. For what? For a psychological defeat and myths of false science. And Allah is the one sought for help. So, follow us.
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
