Addendum - Announcement About the Translation Project for Journey to Certainty

Introduction to the Journey of Certainty Series

As you know, dear brothers and sisters, we began with you more than two years ago the journey of the "Journey of Certainty" series, which has now surpassed fifty episodes. We are continuing with it. And by the grace of Allah the Almighty, it has gained wide acceptance among Arab youth. Some have changed their ideas and returned to guidance after straying, some have been fortified, increased in faith, and pride in Islam, and some have found it a material that helps them to enlighten those around them.

The Need for Translation

And in reality, throughout the publication of its episodes, we have been constantly receiving urgent requests from the dear followers to translate it into many languages, and at the same time, the luck of others to help in translation. Recently, with the beginning of the discussion on the topic of women, the demand for translation has reached its peak, and many have expressed their urgent need to convey the material to their acquaintances who are not Arabic speakers.

Indeed, groups of brothers have translated many of the episodes into many languages, but the work, brothers, needs to coordinate efforts and review what is translated and adopt the best translation, especially since the topics are very precise. And we will ask, with the permission of Allah, in a later stage from the brothers who have translated something to send it.

Translation Project: Stages and Needs

By exploiting electronic platforms and known expertise that help us with this project, some of our dear brothers - may Allah reward them with good - have experience in this field, so they searched for some software and some programs and platforms that help the subject of translation with high professionalism. So that we can produce a precise result and accurate information into the translated language, we need volunteers with different experiences to join the page team to help in several works.

Stage One: Arabic Linguistic Proofreading

We need in the first stage:

1. Following up on the automatic transcription in Arabic.
2. Arabic linguistic proofreading after transcription.
3. Textual punctuation and formatting with the episode.

This stage is to finalize the Arabic text synchronized with the video clips to be the basis for different translations, i.e., to be a suitable base on which different translations are built.

Stage Two: Translation Management and Proofreading

In the second stage, we need:

1. Management and coordination of the primary translation teams.
2. Linguistic proofreading according to the language being translated into.
3. Scientific proofreading, which is also an important point, scientific proofreading by specialists according to the language being translated into.

The goal, dear ones, is to start translating into the most important languages such as English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Urdu, and Kurdish. And the priority of the language will be based on the number of volunteers and their experiences.

Call for Volunteers: Stage One (Arabic Language)

As for the second stage, it will be announced soon, God willing. Therefore, we start with you today by requesting volunteers specialized in the Arabic language to review the Arabic textual content automatically transcribed and approve it textually and linguistically before transferring it to the teams translating into foreign languages.

The goal, brothers, is to initially appoint five to ten specialists in the Arabic language who possess several qualifications:

1. First: Mastery of the Arabic language and years of experience in linguistic proofreading, and the ability to review texts grammatically, orthographically, and to modify some word endings to ensure their correct pronunciation, and to number and punctuate them using computer programs. This, God willing, will facilitate the tasks of translators into other languages.
2. Also, these volunteer brothers for the first stage should have the ability to proofread and review four hours of visual and audio material in two weeks, and interact with the transcribers. That is, we need intensive work in a period of two weeks.
3. It is also preferable that those who help us in proofreading have experience in scientific reports, especially in biological research.

We start by reviewing the models and communicating with the volunteers to start the work, God willing.

The Importance of Commitment in Volunteering

But allow me, brothers, to remind you: every brother volunteer, every sister volunteer, please do not register your name unless you are sure of your motivation to continue and are accustomed to fulfilling the promise and completing the work on time. Because your registration and then withdrawal will disrupt the work and deprive others of volunteering at the right time.

If you register, we say to people: "Alright, by the will of Allah, ten have volunteered for Dr. Iyad," and thus there is no need for us to volunteer for translation. It is possible that out of the ten, six, seven, or eight may later slack off, and they will have closed the door on the volunteering of other people at the right time. So please, no one should register unless they are sure and accustomed to completing the work on time.

Prayer and Conclusion

And I ask Allah to bless our work and accept it from us and make us guided guides who convey this guidance to other nations and to non-Muslims, and that Allah may guide a single person through you, which is better for you than red camels.
