A word of truth regarding #Ibtihal Abu Al-Saad By Dr. #Eyad #Qunaibi
The most beautiful part of Abtal Abu Al-Saad's speech is her statement, in translation: "There were many fears, in addition to the fear of losing my job; such as the fear of being marked with a black stain for the rest of my professional life, and the fear of problems with my residency. Many worldly fears were present and prevalent in my thoughts."
However, when she realized that the company was complicit, her way of thinking changed. She said, "All my repentance was for one purpose." Her eyes welled up with tears as she said, "I did not want to stand before Allah on the Day of Judgment and confess to any complicity in this genocide. I knew that staying at Microsoft—staying silent in this prestigious job and comfortable position—would lead to that result on the Day of Reckoning."
This fear that overwhelmed her heart and took hold of it, surpassed every fear of immigration enforcement agencies (that they would come and take her away from America) or any other practical fears. With clear expressions in her interview, she said, "Whatever you do for the sake of Allah, Allah will not let you down."
We know that Allah the Almighty wants us to stand up for the oppressed and to be a voice that opposes any involvement in the genocide in Gaza. Having this intention gives a person tranquility and helps them to rely on Allah sufficiently to take action, face feelings of anxiety and despair, and do something while believing that Allah, the Most High, is with them.
